Yes I heard that, just as the moron was saying he thinks the person has cerebral palsy he realized his mike was live and shut it off. Stay classy, Edmonton, you bunch of freaking losers!!!

He first went to cover Perrault in front of the net because top pair Ethan Bear disappeared into the corner, likely awaiting the sensible reverse from McNoD which instead was a giveaway, then he bit HARD on the fake and floated into the ether...

AND the PA announcer is still announcing the previous goal!

He did, and it was dumb. He decided to overprotect against a pass into the corner and leave the middle of the ice open.

Love seeing the Oilers just blow leads and work towards their first round exit. It isn't over till it is done though. Keeping my fingers crossed.

I admit, I did not watch a second of this game live. I remembered the game was on and so checked my phone for a quick look at the scores. Saw that Boston was up in their game, good. Saw the Oil were up 2 - 0. Thought, meh, still early, Jets... maybe. Check back later, it's 3 - 1 Oil, then a bit later and it's 4 - 1. I'm thinking, stupid Jets... Put the phone away, I don't want to see any more of that crap. Hopefully they'll pull out game 4 or I'll have to stay away from CP for a while. Remember to check phone at what I figured was the end of regulation and WTF?! 4 - 4!!! Naw, can't be. Can it? They are playing the oil.

At this point, I'm thinking, no way, don't turn on the TV. You know, superstitious and all... The elation I felt when I checked my phone again to see the Jets won it in OT... as has been mentioned in this thread, the amount of joy I feel at the oil's failure is a bit on the unhealthy side.

I also knew I had to check CP. I knew there would be a couple of threads I would love to read. Ladies and gentlemen, you did not disappoint! Absolute GOLD! Thank you.

Glorious!

CaptainCrunch's stunning prediction.

McDavid has literally played half of every game in this series. He'll be out of gas by the halfway point
Draisaitl has played more minutes then McDavid, he'll be in full pout mode, can I get back to Germany before midnight out of gas mode
Smith having seen nearly 70 shots in the last two games will see his Hamstrings explode like two dried out turkey tendons, and now hating his team mates, will allow a bunch of weak goals. Last night wasn't his fault but he wasn't there when they needed him.
Tippett will start the game by reading the paper on the bench cause he's got nothing. The only thing he'll say to him team is "Hey guys, what has 6 letters and is a hair care product"

The Jets on the other hand, have all the momentum, they just need to weather a early storm. Then slowly push that dagger into the Oilers heart. The first period will be close. After that Winnipeg's depth takes over.

Final score Jets 7, Oilers 3. Oilers get a goal from McDavid and two from Draisaitl "After the game Oiler fans will treat it like a triumph. "Vroom Vroom here we go, our two stars carried us its everyone's fault but theirs." Of course McDavid will be minus 4 and Draisaitl minus three.

Hollands post game - "I invite all Oiler's to the virtual draft party, we'll send out the gift certificates for those little weiners wrapped in dough"

For the dirty hit on Stanley the closest the puck was to Stanley was when it hit Archibald's skate as he moved in to get even with Stanley knees. He basically was just cruising to try to hurt a guy not suspecting to get hit.

It should have been 5 and and a game.

Someone does the exact same play to McDavid and he would be suspended for a year.

BUT

Archibald was on the ice for 2 of the 3 goals after the PP goal he watched from the penalty box.

He let Morrissey get his shot off that Smith picked up late and gave to Wheeler for the flip in and he was trying to skate around Dubois as Ehlers won it in OT.

It might have been better for the Oilers if Archibald would have been booted from the game.

Tippett obviously knows nothing about karma and kept sending him out there.

Prediction: Archibald will be provided as the reason for the Oilers fail similar to Rieder not scoring enough.

You just know that Tippett is out of ideas. As a coach it can't be easy when you only have two good players. He tried splitting up the wonder twins and that didn't work. So he put them back together again, and that only worked for two periods before the Jets finally woke up and took over the game with their superior depth.

Oilers will no doubt be desperate tonight, and I'm guessing McDingleberry and Drai will be out there for the majority of the 1st period to try and get them an early lead. Jets were caught sleeping at the start of game 3. I'm betting Maurice won't let that happen again. If the Jets can match Edmonton's desperation early and dictate the play with a hard forecheck and heavy hits, this series is over.

You know, Milan Lucic would have (a) been in that game and (b) contributed in that game.

I love how sensitive the oiler fans are too across Reddit/HFboards. Getting all mad that other teams fans are coming in and pointing out their flaws in the PGT.

A perfect rebuttal to the oft-quoted Kevin Lowe line "I know a thing or two about winning."

I shall petition the moderators to create a brand new thread with that title, forthwith.
