here is one person's opinion on Hage vs. Cal Ritchie.
https://www.dailyfaceoff.com/news/to...25-26-rankings
Steven Ellis ranks Ritchie as the 19th best prospect in the NHL. He ranks Hage as the 49th. For fun, he has Cole Reschny at 53.
Even if Hage is moving up because he has had a hot start, the gap to Cal Ritchie isn't so great, nor is the gap between Kadri and Nelson so great, that the package should not be comparable
I think Hage or a similar level center prospect should be the minimum ask for Kadri

Again though you have to factor in the motivations of the other team.
The Avs are right in the meat of their contention window. They will do everything necessary to try and get more rings with Mackinnon, Makar, etc.
The Habs aren't there yet.

well, you can't always account for one GM going completely nuts for a specific player. Remember Forsberg for Erat?
Yes, I'm sure Blake Coleman will fetch Porter Martone straight across.

that's fine, it doesn't have to be Montreal or Hage. I hope Conroy sets that price and teams that are in that window step up. Easier said than done

I agree that centers have more value than wingers on the whole. However, the Flames are a team that is starved for game breakers and Gridin appears to have that touch. I'm not trading Gridin at all until he's had more time to see if what kind of player he is.

I'd rather Zharovsky than Hage, I think the former is going to be a better player. No stats or deep reasoning, just gut feeling.

Gridin could be special.

Huge night for this thread. Especially if the Kadri move could be as early as after his 1000th celebration.

I think i would do anyone above gridin on that list with Kadri for Hage, but i also wouldn't give up gridin in that trade.
Id give up gridin+ mews/brzu+ for something like Misa though.
I wonder if Brzu or Mews could be part of a reasonable offer for Power.

I don't think he's available.
Flames are getting action right now.

For a 16th overall 400+ games is above average
sure with hindsight you can make a better pick...you can do that with basically every team in every draft

Buffalo fans are turning on Power and are convinced he is part of the problem, not the solution.
He has underwhelmed since signing his long extension...very similar to Cozens. I have no idea what his value is. Obviously, his pedigree carries weight, but for how long?
Cozens was a high pick as well who went for a relatively affordable return.
