Portland has to not be playing anymore then he can play for the Flames or the Heat afterwards but i think the Winterhawks will do well in the WHL playoffs.

Is it only a forward that can send him back? What about Butler and Brodie?

this kid has incredble hockey sense. Good to see Sutter throw Sven out in OT.
Baertschi will probably be the most requested Flames jersey next year.

the Flames are at 50 contracts; if it wasn't for the emergency recall, Sven can't play

So is there any chance he ends up in the AHL or splits time between the two clubs next year?

I imagine that decision will be made during training camp, but even though it's only been 3 games I am sure 99% of us think he is already an NHL player and should spend the entire season in the NHL next season.

The one extra year in the Dub helped prevent management from rushing him, but he needs to reach his potential in the NHL and not the AHL.

I see Mr. Calder waiting for him next year already. He's been awesome. Stempniak can wait all he wants to come back.

I would love to see Baertschi to take 17. Then I could salvage my Bourque jersey. Love this kid.

I predict he'll be on the team full time next season.
