Mark Stone on LTIR for Vegas, you can bet the farm Vegas will spend that cap and somehow Stone will be ok to play in the playoffs. It's the Vegas way, if you are not cheating you are not trying.

Not sure the folks at THW know anything at all. Seemed like something of a puff piece to me when I read it.

The dude had back surgery. Accusing them of cheating in this case is baseless

I really don't think we need to talk to each other that way. My mind went right to cheating when I first read the news about Stone, too.

They'll use stem cells or nano robots and game 1 of playoffs he'll bust through a wall and step onto the ice as good as new
With the resources of Vegas anything is possible

The dude is expected back for the playoffs, funny how the timing always seems to work out in their favour. But if it quacks like a duck, and walks like a duck, and looks like a duck it isn't a duck right? We are seeing it more and more, players are timing taking care of their injury issues so their clubs can take advantage of the LTIR loophole. It isn't coincidence.

Stone injury and issues may be legitimate but it does seem that teams with cap issues suddenly get a injury at appropriate times to get a large cap charge in the lineup.

I knew this would start being the "thing" to do. If you aren't circumventing the cap these days, it's like setting your team up to fail, it seems.....

Firstly, it’s not a loophole, which by definition is unintentional.
Secondly, that duck you speak so often about has a serious back issue.

Seriously, "quack issues" was right there.

I just don't get that. I mean how does that work? "The eye test tells us this player is not that good, he's often injured, and he's got a terrible contract, but Dreger is saying everyone wants him, so we must have him!"
I mean, nowadays before everyone has access to pretty much everything, why would that make you trade for someone?
