Issue with Flames is no space in top 9. Any add needs to be a legit 1st liner. If it's a filler guy like Toffoli caliber - might as well keep Peltier in the top 9.

If they know in the summer then they know now. However if they are still battling closer to the deadline then the should unload a couple guys for assets and cap space going forward. Everyone knows it’s easier to trade in the offseason because there becomes more options

I read 2 articles today linking the Flames to Boeser and Schenn. The Hockey Writers suggest that while aquiring Boeser wouldn't help our speed, he could address our scoring issues, and likely won't cost a first-round pick. Don't shoot the messenger, and take it with a grain of salt.

I really hope that is not true. There is no need to add to this current roster. You cannot win with bad goaltending and a bad power play. This team is way too far away from legitimately contending. They are what they are. Make moves in the off-season.
