What we are seeing now is the worst type of political partisanship where the left cannot possibly admit that Clinton is at the same time a criminal, but the only pragmatic choice for President.

I can admit, as a conservative, that even after all this Clinton is far preferable to Trump.

To me the irrational hatred of the republicans of the Clintons is ridiculous. She essentially has been continually investigated for the last 25 years. So either she is the greatest politician ever that has somehow been able to buy her way out of trouble house of cards style or she operates within the lines of current politics.

This isn't to say what goes on in the current system is good. It needs to be fixed.

She's a disaster. There are skeletons in her closet. Did you read that last piece that I posted? It is from the Washington Post - hardly a conservative mouth-piece. 15,000 emails held back from the FBI.

I would say criminal is a loaded word here as I would argue she is not more criminal then any other US politician. Now is that some relativism? Probably and perhaps we should hold our elected officials to a higher standard. However this is not the election to make that stand.

It's a good place to start.

Having two President Clintons from the same marriage becomes awkward. It's also consistent with Bernie and The Donald, whom I'm also on a first-name basis with.

Also, since a marriage is legally a single entity, I'd like to see some scrutiny under the 22nd amendment (term limits).

Yeah, I quoted the key point for you.

She did all these things...... By her aids rejected giving people favours.

This is just my off the top of my head reaction, but it actually might be "ship has sailed" territory for Clinton. She's already seen as a corrupt, scheming, quintessential dishonest politician. It's as if there's nowhere really to go, no matter what comes out at this point.

It's not totally unlike Trump's "it doesn't matter what I say; you already knew I was totally unqualified to do this job so at this point all more stupidity does is serve as a reminder of what a terrible candidate I am."

I agree. It is a reminder of the need for impartial and intensive scrutiny during her first term as President. But as you have pointed out in other threads, that is not a likely prospect given the partisan divide in the US.

People are focusing too much on her not being Trump. Americans should move on, accept that she will be President, forgo gloating over Trump's defeat, and judge her by the highest ethical standards.

In the world and political systems we live in, I'm okay with small political payoffs as long as they govern well in the big picture.

She has clearly violated the Federal Records Act, and likely several other felonies including perjury. She's not evil or villainous, but criminal seems accurate to me.

It's like when a superstar in the NHL doesn't get penalized to the same extent as an career-AHL-plug for the same infraction. Understandable and defensible, but not exactly innocent.

There is no chance she committed perjury or any other felonies.

You need more than someone's hottakery on this to call it that

The greatest part about the Trump campaign so far is we get to see what Herman Cain would've looked like as a GOP nominee

Yep. No one cares that Hillary is establishment. She has been the subject of such scrutiny and scorn for so long that news stories about her now are boring and gain no traction.

This is a reasonable sentiment. Congress ending earmarks may have made governing less effective - bribes are effective and a 'black market' can be an effective tool for relieving pressure.
Plus, damn-near-everyone is swimming in this sea of corruption.

Too bad there wasn't a political independent candidate that eschewed corporate funding and Super PAC money, was morally beyond reproach, and consistently on the righteous side of history for decades...

They won't even apply the standard of "wouldn't get a conviction" to the Federal Records Act - which Secretary Clinton nakedly violated.
