What does this mean to you (assuming it's true)?
Yes Cliff (and others), I understand the cap is a complication. Roger. Doesn't mean you can't figure something out.

“I think” comes before each supposition. It’s just a guess. There’s nothing from any insider saying this was actually the case. It’s not “I heard” or “I understand”.

Key word in the first part is Thinks , in other words it may or may not be reality.

Whatever underdog chemistry Vegas once had has drained away. The character guys are almost all gone. Eichel is the nail in the coffin. One of the few remaining originals will have to be dumped to accommodate him - probably Smith. And the roster will be left with a bunch of aging stars and a petulant prima donna.
Flames dodged a bullet here. And after a season or two in the playoff mix, Eichel will be back to playing on a perennial loser team. Which will be hilarious

I’m not quite ready to say Vegas is done and it’s Eichels fault.
Stone, Pacioretty, Lehner, Smith, Janmark, Martinez, and McNabb all missed the game tonight.
That many injuries for key players is tough for any team to overcome.

Without Eichel, Vegas would be significantly worse. Half their lineup is injured. Not rocket science.

I don’t think anyone says it’s Eichel’s fault. People are just enjoying their lack of success with him, for whatever reason.
And it’s not like he’s a big contributor along the lines of, say, Alex Tuch.

When you need that many injuries just to have cap space for Eichel in the lineup, you have bigger problems.

I don't think Eichel is anywhere near 100% at this point. He played only 21 games in roughly 2 calendar years and is coming off of a significant surgery. He's doing pretty well considering all that.

Except that roster isn't cap compliant...not even close. If they were all healthy right now they still couldn't all play. Martinez has been in full practices since January.

I don't care if it's Eichels fault or not, I just enjoy watching them lose. Go pound sand, Vegas.

I think the current situation just establishes the fact that Mark Stone is extremely good.

The Knights fired Gallant last time they slumped like this. I wonder if DeBoer gets the axe if they miss the playoffs.

Maybe the problem is their Coach speaking in the third.

I hardly think Eichel is to blame for Vegas' losing streak haha. Looks like he's doing alright for a guy who missed basically two seasons and is coming off major neck surgery.
I'm very glad that Vegas is crumbling though. I despise that team with a passion. Just pissses me off that it's helping the oilers to get some traction.
