Also, Necas is looking like an elite player. CAR had to give to get. I see that as supporting my point. Now that they have him, who else is obtainable that will help CAR more to win the cup this year than Rantanen? I bet they keep him.

Not sure what Makar has to do with it, but if you are referring to FA signings ask yourself if Flames are just one $15-16 million 2025 FA winger or one $18-20 million 2027 FA D man away from contending.

As others have said, building through the draft is no guarantee but it offers the best odds of avoiding the mess GMBT got himself in.

Yes - Flames have fielded multiple calls on Vladar - With Cooley struggling though I'm not certain Flames move him for anything less than a 2nd
Yes - Craig remains interested in young players to help the retool, same names we've heard previously though I will say Rossi remains a player they continue to call about. His availability remains up in the air.
No - I don't believe for a second that Craig wouldn't move a Vet for the right pieces, but he wont move them for free or in a bad deal.

Vladar likely moved based on interest? Not sure what the return would be other than a 2nd rounder at best.
