I wish the Flames could get Puljujarvi TBH.

I see a guy that has Nichuskin like upside on the right team, think Sutter would like him actually too.

Outside of his draft position what does anyone see in Poolpartys game?

He's atrocious at all aspects of the game. He can't crack the Oilers top lines.

Puljujarvi has been trying to get out of Edmonton for several years and it just hasn’t worked for him there. He asks to leave and they do not oblige so his teammates know it and he knows it. The guy was a consensus top 3 pick for a reason. He is big, fast and has some skill. He will never become the 40 goal point per game player many thought when he was drafted but he could have a Bennett like impact on a new team or he could take another 2-3 years and become a Nikushkin type? He may never pan out but is an intriguing target with low risk.

I wonder if Holland would rather lose him to Arizona/Chicago/Anaheim on waivers than accept a 4th rounder from a rival like Calgary on the chance he does find his game?

It's bloody terrifying. If it happens it's Cup win or a broken TV

There will be some GM dumb enough to do it and I hope it isn't Treliving.

What's Puljujarvi's $3M hit now, after being pro-rated. That's give you an idea who would take him on.

I bet they have to retain 1.5 to get a taker.

Teams should out wait the Oilers, they have to waive him sooner or later if they want to make any trade, right? Why give them anything.

What if the avs want him? He won't make it that far on the waiver list so they'd have to trade for him if they want him

another example of team fit being more important than the draft position. Who knows, Puljujarvi might have developed differently if drafted by another team. He was unlucky back then ... McDavid and Draisaitl were just too insanely talented to overcome the power of Mulletville. He was not.

Where do you think he'd slot?

Huby - Kadri - Pool?

TSN Insider trading:

Blues considering moving a d-man
Parayko drawing the most interest.
Parayko, Faulk, Krug, and Leddy all have NTC

Habs might not be as busy this trade deadline as they were last year
Teams concerned with Monahan and Edmundson injuries
Little interest or none at all in Drouin
Dadonov a little bit different. Teams indicating they could be interested if they don't get their main target

Chychrun trade hang up is they won't take any contracts back unless they are on ELCs.
So far teams have been trying to get Arizona to take back money.

There is growing pushback to scratching players for "trade related reasons" when a trade isn't imminent.

Next couple of games is critical for the Preds.
If they don't go on a heater to save their playoff hopes, they will be willing to listen on almost anyone

Flames don't play the Canes or Montreal again this season.
