Crossing fingers because it’s my riding. It’s not really surprising it’s swung over the night because the areas are so diverse - rich oil folks in Springbank, rural RWer ranchers, artsy environmentalists in Bragg Creek and Canmore, tourism reliant folks and federal employees in Banff.

OTOH Shandro ahead is making me sad. I suspect he will lay low for a while though.

I, along with the majority, pointed out the thread was silly/embarrassing/absurd/etc. Your first post was even “I would be laughing too”! lol

The point is, acting like people are a monolith, or that there is some “you all” that happens to be a perfect circle of creating mean threads about the poster, insulting the poster, and asking for his opinion is also absurd.

You do a lot of finger waving at imaginary figures. Come on back to us.
Why do you need to create a thread for someone you don't like? Would it not be much easer to ignore a poster?

Mainstream media in Canada is conservative. Both in ownership and in editorial content.

Not to mention there’s zero chance Smith would have any insight into Trudeau’s plans.

Looking at the results in Calgary, the UCP just barely won many of the ridings they did. The NDP have made massive gains in Calgary.

Why are you putting energy into defending legitimately one of the worst posters on the site. The guy is just a tweet regurgitator. Get some perspective lol

Trying to act magnanimous looks silly when you choose such a ridiculous cause.

Has there been a provincial or federal party leader in Canada's history who has lost two elections and stuck around to lead the party in a third election?

That’s what I said in that thread, and the person you were just criticizing for making that thread wasn’t the one who even made it lol.

You’re just lumping whoever you want together and blaming them as a group for the actions of a handful of people. Awful familiar, ain’t it?

You’re just the same as people criticizing “UCP voters” or “NDP voters” or “everyone in that thread” etc etc etc. So who are you to offer any judgement anyway?

So unless Notley sees a more electable leader than her then I think she should stay. She out polls the party
I doubt that Nenshi would want to run under an NDP banner, he is too smart for that. Too much baggage and he likes to brand himself as a centrist.. I could see him leading a party at some point though, if the Alberta Party wasn't such a mess it might be a good fit.

Let me be clear. I'm not defending any of his views. I don't understand why posters have to get childish in nature and lob insults and mocking tones. This is not grade school here.

UCP have effectively lost control of Calgary. Even if their candidates squeak through its by a fraction of a hair.

This is going to be problematic for them for sure.

Calgary North (panorama / evanston) and Buffalo (downtown), still haven't counted advanced polls. The 13 uncalled races in Calgary are legitimately not called yet.

Do you think Smith will now think about all the vaccinated Nazi sympathizers? Or the people who have cancer and it's their fault? Think she'll continue to honor our brave veterans by not buying a poppy?

This race was going to be so close as it was I doubt UCP care.

Pretty sure if you asked them they’d take 50 seats going into the night.
