The gap between second and sixth place is 4 points. Any one of those teams goes on a run and they can shoot up the table.
Barring a complete change in form I think we can forget about the shield or winning the playoffs but getting into the playoffs is more than achievable with this group.

Dias was probably our third best winger outside of Musse and Brooke this year which is yikes. I think there’s a player there and would’ve been happy to see him stay for the year. We need reinforcements desperately now. Someone outside of Tobias has to figure out how to score a goal

Willy Akio will miss the rest of the year with an ankle injury. He's being moved off the club's active roster so they can sign a replacement and won't be eligible to return in 2024.

I would love it if this new guy actually isn’t German and this is just how Tobias greets everyone.

Here's the new signing. 26 year old attacker Nicolas Wahling. Last played with TSV Steinbach in 4th division Germany.

Hey guys! We won a game!
A nice goal from Aird, who worked his tail off all match. Carducci made some key stops.
It wasn't a classic by any means, but we're getting into "must win" territory to stay in the hunt. Given the injury woes at the moment, a 1-0 on the road against Valour is just fine.

yeah, things are a little bleak when we don't even comment on a win (for a change!). I hope we can figure out how to score more frequently going forward though.

FTF. Hopefully the second leg is a complete beatdown the other way.

Cavs lost to York today.
Season is very much slipping away.

The worst part of sucking this bad is how boring we’ve become. We are absolutely no threat to score, and it’s been that way the entire season. Tommy needs to make some adjustments.

Brought my wife and daughter to the supporters section and they both really enjoyed it. Left after the second goal as I wasn't going to keep my daughter in the heat for another half hour with the way the game had gone.
Absolutely dreadful performance from Cavalry. It's been a nightmare year ever since the club announced they'd be playing their CONCACAF game 1100 kms away from home.
And we all know everyone in that front office is 100% safe in their jobs. Maybe Tommy needs to be on the hot seat again.

Yep boring as usual. I'm not getting too upset about our league position though. The way this dumb playoff system works, we can be #### all season as long as we're close to 5th and then potentially sneak the whole thing. We're actually only 2 points off 3rd right now, albeit with a couple teams having games in hand.

That second goal was a joke. Surrounded in the corner, the York player beats multiple guys, nutmegs Montgomery, Klomp pulls out of the challenge, and then squared for a simple tap in. Brutal by all of them

The games are terrible. It's really too bad, as they just made such great headway on attracting new fans and upping attendance the last two seasons
The narrative has shifted in my social circles amongst casual/couple game fans from "Cavs games are a great time" to "meh, they rarely score, it's kinda boring and you pay saddledome prices for beer, rather do something else". It's really too bad.
Past two years Cavs games were an easy sell for an outing, lots of enthusiasm. Now I can't really find anyone that wants to make the trip down to Spruce Meadows. Fell off the outing radar.

This is the price to be paid to have all the best players move on to bigger and brighter things. Being a development club/league is really hard that way, particularly when the transfer window is open for the majority of our league. To replace all that talent is so hard, and it eventually catches up with you.

I don't even know if it would've been that bad if not for having all of our attacking midfielders/wingers decimated with injury.
