Jack Barrett is leaving the club. He said his goodbyes to Everton and Cavalry on his Instagram and was saying goodbye to people at Friday's game. Heard he is going on trial with Blackburn Rovers. Tough to get a keeper to sit on the bench with his thumb up his ass all year so wonder who comes in to replace him. Joseph Holliday has been the starter with the U-21s I wonder if they sign him.

I've also heard Akio is done for the season and Dias' loan ends this weekend so hoping there are some good attacking players being brought in to replace them.

Someone connected to the club told me they're signing a winger from Germany. I immediately thought it would be a German national, but I'm wondering if it might be Calgary product Caniggia Elva. He's out of contract at the end of the month after a season in the German 4th tier. He's a player I've long hoped might eventually make his way to the CPL and the Cavs.

Elva would be a great signing that would definitely help our attack. He's been i Germany 10 years and I don't think he's going to play higher than 3. Liga if he stays.

Another shout is Bori Falaye who played at the same level as Elva this last year and his contract is up as well. Thought he was more of a #9 but I won't profess to knowing much about him.

Yeah, I hadn't thought of him. Calgary kid who had 5 goals in the German 4th tier this past season. Former U of C Dino.

Cavalry have officially announced Jack Barrett's loan has ended, and that they have signed Joseph Holliday for the rest of the season.

Our injury situation is getting pretty dire, going to be tough to find any goals again today with this lineup.

Pretty incredible how we’ve gone from one of the best teams in the league to one of the worst in such a short time span. We only have a single player who is an attacking threat this season and he wasn’t even on the team last year.

Getting nervous, haha. There's nothing I want more than another berth into the Champions Cup. We're a long ways off from that currently.

It's incredible how a club that dominated the league and kept the majority of their squad looks so poor the next year.

Bevan leaving was a dagger, and Musse's injury has really hurt. But I think that some key players (Camargo, Klomp, Kobza, Daley, Akio) have regressed too. And outside of Warschewski, has any new player brought in been a fit? Maybe Leon Hapgood was the real loss?

At least we won't have Ian Allison puffing out his chest about playing CONCACAF in February at Spruce Meadows I guess.

Lucas Dias is leaving Sporting and apparently is on MLS teams radars? If you were to tell me it was to a reserve team deal I'd believe you, because he was largely unimpressive during his time here, albeit with a great showing against the Whitecaps and a great pass to unlock the goal against Forge.
