Ugh. Being a fan on a message board of a losing team sucks.
I can see that "The Process" has replaced " Intellectually Honest" as the new CP catch phrase for mocking management.

Seems appropriate.
I am sure at some point the smartest guy in the room can explain how this season was not an utter disaster.
If the selling of the process ends up in nobody responsible having to be accountable, I will study how I can try to replicate this. I think I could live ok if I was well paid to underperform, and the worst I got was a bit of mockery.

I'm ass pissed of as the next Flames fan, believe me, and I'm not one bit worried about Treliving or how he feels about being mocked either.
I'm more concerned with how goddamned annoying it already is to read "It's a Process" "The Process" in what feels like every 5 or 10 posts in every other thread.

I believe jammies in another thread correctly identified "process" as procrastination. Patience in some cases is required, but we need to stop procrastinating. Guys like Gio, Smith are not getting any younger. BT needs to address the bottom 6 with an established group of guys with an actual purpose and identity. Fast, ruthless, hard to play against whatever it will be!? The current bottom 6 looks like a group playing out their string while the young guys not scoring are not doing much but filling a role. We also need to be more focused on getting a "proven" RW.

That's hard to process.

Meh, I'm just having a bit of fun with it. If your gm is going to build a reputation on buzzwords why not use it?
Besides, should we make a withdrawl from the emotional bank of Gulutzan? He has drained the players accounts because of his high interest rates.
Didn't see him make many deposits this year. Wait, just the one, the stick throw heard around calgary

Come to think of it, Gullys intro buzzword creation had me thinking he was doomed from the start with his deposit and withdrawl symposium when he was hired. So tacky I thought.

So at this point, are we assuming Gully is here for another season?

No. If by June Gully is still here then we can press the big red button.

I really hope BT comes out early next week and announces his choice.
I do hope we are getting a new coach, be nice for us to know either way though.

I'm trying not to think of it! There's really no 'deadline day' beyond which he is definitely keeping the coach, except training camp...which is way too far away.
I still don't think he'll be the coach next season. I know I'll be disproportionately mad if he's coach next season. But it'll be a slow death.

Hurricanes coach Bill Peters free to test the market
Didn't see this posted in the number of threads going on.
Quote:
Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman reported last month that the club’s current coach, Bill Peters, could move on thanks to an option in his contract that would allow him to walk away with one year left on his deal.
According to Friedman, that option is currently open.
“We mentioned a couple weeks ago that Carolina Coach Bill Peters has an option open in his contract to leave,” Friedman explained during Hockey Night in Canada. “That is on right now. There was some belief it was a seven-day option that would’ve closed potentially as soon as today, but I think that’s been extended and he remains to have the ability to look around if he wants to leave the Hurricanes.”

If GG fired, it better be asap as he can apply somewhere to get a job. Even assistant.

How much does an assistant/associate coach earn? With his guaranteed coach salary, I could see him taking the year off.

An option to look around for a better gig....
If you're the Canes, how do you move forward with him after that, if he doesn't find said better gig? "Oh, you couldn't find a good job? Sure, you can come back and coach work here."
