The longer you wait the more options you might have, for both sides.

I honestly think you can just go ahead and forget about AV, even if Treliving decides to can Gulutzan. AV has Dallas and Jim Nill written all over him IMO.

What are your guys thought of Sheldon Keefe?
I don't know much about him but I've been reading good things about him, including his past success. He also utilizes youth and veterans evenly and focuses on individual growth as a player.

He may very well end up a good coach, but at the same time I really want a veteran NHL coach this time instead of some newcomer.

The article on Babcock I linked a while back said he really didn’t come in with a different system in Toronto, but he had the name and credibility to enforce it on his players. That’s why Calgary may need a “name” coach.

To be fair. The Optics of firing Gulutzen right after the Humboldt tragedy is probably pretty bad. Especially since he went there representing the Flames.
Edit: or it is the new Coyotes Monday announcement
