Stoeten is the man and I agree with everything he says. Even though I believe Odor was off the base there is nothing conclusive (I guess) to show this.

Win tomorrow, give Price the ball, get back to T.O. give Stroman the ball, Jays win.

Winning three in a row, thats it.

Tepera replaces Cecil on the DS roster.

How early do the "USA, USA" chants start tomorrow, deep in the heart of Texas? My guess is by the middle of the second.

Rangers are officially starting left handed Derek Holland and his 4.91 ERA in game 4.

Just got to win tomorrow. I suspect Price goes on short rest for game four and, even with his playoff woes, I don't see him losing a game to Holland with the season on the line. This series is far from over. Jays just got to play their game.

To echo Andrew Stoeten the Jays truly have an excellent opportunity to come back in this series with Perez and Holland the next two scheduled starters.

I am HOPING this is the adversity they overcome, shake off that rust and just MASH tomorrow and Monday... frankly, I'd even go with Dickey for game 4 depending on how the bats do in game 3.

Playing at home, with a lot of pressure, was definitely working against the Jays- let's see if the same holds true for the Rangers.

Thankfully we're facing lefties so Collabello can play- I prefer him to Smoak even though I know I really shouldn't.

Go JAYS!

Despite Price's first start I think you have to go with him in game 4 if we get there, then Stroman in Game 5.

Why is Tepera in for Cecil? Ridiculous.

Didn't Cecil pull his hamstring?

He tore his calf, but Tepera is useless. Need another lefty in the pen. Should have been Buerhle, or date I say it, Francis (shudder).

That's how dire the left situation is for the Jays, that Tepera is actually the next best choice. He has reverse splits which actually see lefties with a much much lower OPS than righties this season.

But, it will take another 14 inning game or a blood bath one way or another to see him used. The "replacement" for Cecil is likely Sanchez.

Game 3 lineup:

1. Revere
2. Donaldson
3. Bautista
4. Encarnacion
5. Colabello
6. Tulowitzki
7. Navarro
8. Pillar
9. Goins

Notable: Colabello stays in and Smoak stays on the bench where he belongs.
Tulowitzki trades with Colabello in the lineup.
Navarro in to catch Estrada - Martin on the bench (expect a switch when Estrada is done, unless Navarro is hot at the plate)
Gibbons said Dickey will start tomorrow with Price available for relief. Also didn't rule Price out from pitching in relief tonight. Makes sense, if game is on the line there is no tomorrow.

Dance with the guys that brung ya

If I live to be a thousand, I will never forget the crushing feeling when Rick Monday knocked one out of the park against the Expos' ace Steve Rogers, who joined the game - game 5 of a 5 game series - in the 9th inning in relief.

Rogers was a starter, not a reliever, and wasn't used to the situation.

1981. Still agonizing to think about.

I agree, but I think it would only be in a scenario where they need the lefty-lefty matchup. It's him or Loup...pick your poison. Loup has been awful this season.

Also of note: they skipped Stroman's side session today to keep his arm available in the off chance they would need him tonight (I'm guessing only if it's another marathon like game 2)

Also somewhere they just announced Dickey as the likely starter tomorrow.
Of course, that could change if the Blue Jays don't have to use Price (or Stroman) tonight.

Hopefully that gets into the Rangers heads that they're facing a knuckleballer tomorrow, tonight.

I can't believe I'm actually nervous about this game, have been all day. I'm a bandwagoner! I can only imagine how you real fans must feel.
