Just curious to know if it's rust or if the game was slightly tweaked.
I definitely required adjustments. My first few games I was consistently well behind on fastballs and could barely pull the ball.

Personally I would say rust. I had a daughter born in June so I slowed down to a halt eventually (I have a boy who is 2+ years older than her) playing this game. She is now 8 months and sleeping well so I was just able to pick up 09 the last few weeks and get back in game shape.

I find very little difference in the 4 seamer. However, the slider has even more action than it used to, and the regular curve seems to have gone from 10-4 to 10-5 making it more deceptive, IMO. The two seamer seems to have morelate action as well.

I LOVE this game. Lost 8-5 last night to SF, Tommy Hanson could not throw a strike until it was 2-0, then they just teed off. So I play the 2nd game of the series and wow, I blow them out 15-2. McCann jacks 3 and drives in 7. Insane.

Now I am battering Lincecum pretty good, but he keeps getting double plays...up 4-0 in the 4th.

If you're a baseball nut: definitely.

If not: hard to say.

If you don't own a blu-ray player then it closes the deal in my mind. For me I wanted The Show but also a blu-ray player.

Just traded in my Xbox 360, 5 games and 4 controllers for a new PS3 and MLB The Show. Paid an extra 1.58 I believe, and well worth the money thus far. Love everything about, the graphics are just mind-blowing and the realism is quite incredible. For a baseball guru, I would suggest buying a PS3 just for this game alone.

Possibly, yes.

It is certainly good enough to swing the "Xbox or PS3?" decision.

Just got finished my first series against the Rangers, pretty cool how they take an in-depth look at the final statistics from a 3 game set. Got lit my first game with Romero, didn't even make it through four innings, then came back with 2-1 and a 3-0 gem from Mark Rzepchiasfjlsadsky. Pretty awesome game so far, never know what each game holds, and to someone who earlier said, it really makes you realize how hard it is to hit .250 in the bigs, touche brotha, touche.

That is my problem to. I get pissed off and want to swing at the first pitch and usually a ball way out of the strike zone. I have to train myself to be more patient.

Patience in this game is key. Unfortunately I have no patience and it drives me to levels of insanity the likes of which my friends have never seen.

Or a 'buy a PS3 too' decision. MLB The Show 09 wasn't the specific reason I bought a PS3 to go along with my 360 but it definitely helped. I'm not a big baseball fan but I do like baseball video games and it looked amazing.

i have an xbox 360 and it just seems like over kill to get a ps3 on top of it, but with uncharted, mgs 4 and the show out for ps3 only, there's definitely a reason to have both systems

Started my franchise yesterday with the Jays... is Wells playing RF full-time? Wow I haven't paid attention in a while.

Simmed the first game, won 3-0, and I played the second and lost 3-1.

Hitting is so tough, even though I have all the sliders up and roookie mode on. I can make decent contact, but it's generally right at a guy, foul, or barely inside the line. I guess I have to just work on some timing...

Fun game, but my gf doesn't havwe the patience to let me play it 2 hours everyday...
