When it gets this cold, the salt has little effect. At this temperature, all you can do is throw down some girt and gravel to provide traction.

It's so cold that it even snowed in the mountains surrounding Las Vegas yesterday! The snow covered mountains are beautiful, but it's cold! It was 42 fahrenheit when I drove my winter sleigh into work this morning. I wore my ski coat. Hopefully I'll be skiing on Friday instead of going to my work Holiday Party. Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow (here).

Not a fun drive in this morning. Should be really slick and slow - be careful out there!

I think this is the problem. New technology sucks!

Took an extra hour to get into work today.

I'm glad i'm on the road at 6am. it only took me maybe an extra 5 minutes than normal to get to work. If I left an hour or half hour later, i'd probably be looking at an extra hour at least.

Luckily I can work from home when I can. It would have been a 2hr drive most likely.

I'm soooo glad I don't have to head into the office or somewhere across town on days like today. I heard MacLeod trail was a parking lot from Midnapore to Glenmore--that's just crazy.

I work in Southcentre... and live in bankview. The mornings are not bad as i go against the grain of traffic. About 25 minutes to get there.

On the way home though.... Yesterday it took me an hour to get from Southcentre to Chinook on Elbow Drive. I just ducked into a suprisingly dead Chinook centre and went shopping.
