Top beers or top selling beers? I can't imagine that the USA would have 8 beers on the list as compared to Europe

drunk skunk may be right, if only based on his/her name.

trouble is there is no authority.........is the average beer in the US garbage...ie: bud, coors, michelob, and their ba$tard "lite" cousins?

yeah

But, when it come to smaller breweries, then the US has some very very nice beer.

IMO

The top beers. The best beer in the world is a Belgian beer brewed in a Trappist monastery, Sixtus. They also have the #9 beer. The other eight are all US brewed beers. The majority of people that knock US beer have never tried, or even heard of, the best breweries. Three Floyds, Russian River, Dogfish Head, Portsmouth, Bell's - I could go on and on.

Best Beers on Planet Earth from beeradvocate.com, the best "beer geek" site out there. Ratebeer, if it's still up, might have a slightly different list, but I've found that site to be very hit and miss.

True, just seemed odd is all. You'd figure with all the hype Europe gets, they'd have more beers on the top 10 list

Wait, was there not a series of excellent jokes following this post?
