...with all the bacteria and viruses that you've eaten has probably made you and many others immune to many diseases. You probably haven't got sick in awhile...thats a good thing.
All kidding aside, good enough isn't good enough to some. I've had orders messed up and I've said nothing. Sometimes, I've had orders with extra stuff (burgers, fries, coffees, etc) added either because of a screwup behind the counter or the customer ahead of me was a total nimrod and I wound being a decent customer. Unless you have an allergy, the order was totally out in left field or if you were treated like a dick...than you can be a bit of a dick. I've seen some make a total ass of themselves, quite amusing actually.

Deal?

If you're filling me up, you won't be lucky enough for me to just throw in $5 worth of fuel. I run my tank out to the last drop, so you'll be out in the cold while it fills up 60 litres.

Try having kids in the car and having to take each of them out of their car seats, make sure all of them have their boots and jackets done up, stand in a long line up in the store and make sure none of them touch anything or anybody, because these customer's have waited for 15 minutes longer than the drive thru line.
If I go to Tim's in the morning with my kids, (very rare) I will be taking the drive thru and probably order 5 breakfast sandwiches or a dozen doughnuts. Having a beverage only line is not going to happen, it doesn't make sence for the company to endorse spending a lot more money for retro fitting a building to help individuals spend less money.
I understand the staff concerns and I have had to deal with crabbiness from retail customers in past jobs, but the companies put these things in for convenience, like who remembers when most Tim's in Calgary didn't have INTERACT. It made the lines faster but it sure wasn't convenient for the customer that doesn't carry cash or have change.
No, I am not one of those individuals that open the window 1/4 of an inch for the full service gas stations to fit my credit card through but I sure like the pay at the pump for same reason as stated above. I don' have to pull my kids out of the car to go and pay.

I don't think the problem is with the odd person ordering a dozen donuts or five breakfast sandwiches. It's the trades that send one person to order dozens of coffee's and other miscellaneous items.
Sometimes I'm guilty of this when working in the field and having hit up Tim's and grab coffee for the whole crew, it takes a long time. But there are a few guidelines I follow, one being that I will only try and get a big order between 9 and 11am. Also, I will order only black coffee's and ask for a cup of their cream and sugars seperately.
I know it sucks for the person behind me in line and if the staff take too long getting it together I will usually pay for their coffee as well but going inside the store isn't an option because balancing three trays of coffee's doesn't work too well.
But really, if an extra couple of minutes is going to throw off your whole morning then what are you doing stopping for coffee in the first place?

You guys just need to work at a liquor store. If they're a jerk to you, you can totally be a jerk back to them, and they'll come crawling back because they want their booze. When I worked at one, I didn't take crap from any customer. If they're rude to me, I refuse them their booze. Ah, fun times.

The TH's I used to hit in the morning was Macleod Trail at Mission Road and until last year it was cash only - what a difference. The lines could be 8 cars deep and it would only take a few minutes. Most of the people there seemed to be only ordering coffee - not hot sandwiches available or the breakfast items - just pretty much doughnuts and coffee.
And I know they did a bang up business. A few more of these express specific locations would be great.

Every Tim Horton's that I've ever visited only has two cash registers. The lineups could be cut down considerably by having another register. They need to redesign their counters to allow for this.

They could also cut down on their lineups considerably if they setup an assembly line consisting of cashier, drink maker and drink maker's helper.
But from their business standpoint, why hire additional staff when the lemmings keep lining up out the door no matter what level your service is at...

I've been to one where they had four registers, two by each side entrance. It was quite big, it was set up almost like two seperate Tim's within one. It didn't really seem to make much difference in the line up though. We still waited quite awhile to get to the cash. I guess more registers doesn't make a huge difference when the workers behind the counter are moving at a snails pace. I wanted to leave, but my mom is a slave to coffee.

Holy cow, your Timmy's have Interac? We don't down here in Southern Ontario. However, they have solved that by offering the new Tim Cards, which you purchase in any amount and then just swipe when you order.
Ours also just recently started taking MasterCard, with no signature required under $25.
they have always said in our area, they would not offer Interac because it would slow down the service.

I work very close to that location and so am in there probably once per week for a coffee run. One day I arrived in time to see a 400-pound sloth-like woman (who's drool was gravy and finger-nails the color of mustard) absolutelt freak at the poor girls working because they gave her a blueberry fritter instead of an apple. The girl asked her to stop yelling and corrected the mistake. The woman was livid and kept screaming (all the while her four chins were locked into some kind of perpetual motion that reminded me of the mating habits of large marine animals...) until the girl just slammed the window in her face.
So Rita McChin takes out her football sized fist and starts pounding on the window screaming like a 10-year old having a tantrum from being grounded on a Friday.
The manager then comes over, tells her she's the manager, and would like for her to take her purchase, 90,000 dollar Acura SUV, and her ugly fat head and f*** off!
Obviously all the girls at this location are vertically challenged and have English as a second language, so it was easily top three funniest things I have ever seen.
