Lol, bring it you dirty gunner boy!
If Liverpool can play a solid, patient game of defense they can win this game.
Arsenal has nobody that can take Torres on his day.

And I know if Arsenal can actually get their finish back, they can take almost anyone.
This should make for an entertaining couple of matches.

Did you mean, "if Liverpool has the same ref that did their premier game on Saturday, they can win this game."

I had to laugh at that comment. That ref had a real stinker and if I was a Reading fan I would have been pissed off for sure. As I'm a Liverpool fan I guess I'll just take the win and move on. They deserved the win regardless of the crap ref.

If you are a betting man, you should take those odds. In fact, can I be your bookie for that bet????

You know, it might not be a bad game to float a cheap bet on, if one was so inclined.
Fener is deceptively good, and have a tenacious and relentless style. Chelsea is very hot and cold... if they meet the same Chelsea that could barely keep little Rosenborg in check...

...or the same Chelsea that was held to a 0-0 draw during their first leg against Olympiacos.
Where would one place this wager?

Exactly. My buddy is a blues fan and I love teasing him about which Chelsea team shows up, and if he minds that Drogba is going to Milan and Lampard is going to be reunited with Ranieri in Juventus...
He blames everything on Avram Grant, and maintains everything will be okay once he's back upstairs or fired.

From the way it was stated, it seems like those odds should be reversed.
As a Chelsea fan, this year has been one that make you want to hide under a rug. Mourinho fired, Lampard / Drogba want out.....ties against a couple of very less capable teams......
But, I guess they are still in the champions league, and only 3 points off the Premiership lead. They have still pulled through when they need to.
I will be your bookie, but will only give you 1-1 odds

Ha, hard to have any sympathy. I mean, we just had a 'must win' game against Birmingham for gods sake. I cant wait for next August, tell me when its all over.

I'm not really a betting man, I dont mind making wagers or bets with friends, but I dont really enjoy gambling on sports.
Besides, Chelsea will always find a way to screw me.

Keegan's hiring always seemed to me to be more of a marketing move than a tactical improvement.
The season was essentially lost, and something had to be done to keep the fans happy and in attendance and unfortunately thats going to be done at Keegan's expense and I'd wager he knows it.
I very much doubt Newcastle gets relegated, Bolton would have to play way over their heads in their next couple of matches and Newcastle would have to slip to even worse form. It could happen, but the stars would have to line up just right.

i'm not sure newcastle are that savvy locke!
I think Kevin is staying on for at least the next season, most likely to newcastles detriment.

I honestly hope somebody else is calling the shots regarding player development and acquisition.
They dont generally have the clear separation of Coach and GM in soccer, the Manager usually does most of it.
I hope they havent done that at Newcastle with Keegan. They're an experienced club, they should know better.
But I do agree with you, I fully expect Keegan to be there next season, just dont expect next season to be significantly better than this one.

Newcastle need to get rid of high priced has-beens like Duff, Owen, and Viduka. For what they're paying their four strikers alone most teams in the bottom half of the Premiership could pay their whole team. They need to bite the bullet, go out and get a real manager that they will have to pay top dollar for.

Keegan got his first win today.
I agree on bailing out on Viduka and Duff, but I cant forsake Owen.
As a Liverpool fan, I still like and respect Micheal Owen, but he just isnt what he used to be. He shows little flahses of what he can do, but he is too inconsistant and injury riddled.
They do need a solid manager. They can make a huge difference, for instance just look at Erickson with City and Grant with Chelsea.
City is doing really well and Chelsea has just been meh lately.
