this is going to be a doozie, there could easily be a 2 loss team in the BCS championship game.

If Hawaii beat both Boise State and Washington (2 quality teams) to finish the season, should they be considered ahead of a 2-loss team?

Kansas was very impressive yesterday on the road in Ames. It looks like Mangino has his team focussed.
That Border Battle in Arrowhead next weekend is going to be a great game. Todd Reesing is even getting some Heisman talk now, and only a sophomore. KU's future looks pretty good. You CFL fans should keep his name in mind. He's too short for a shot in the NFL, might end up in the CFL in a couple of years.

Assuming the Big XII cancels each other out, which I had and have a hunch will happen, there are still a few teams that would get in before a 2 loss team I believe.
Ohio State is now done, and they lost once, so I think they are the backstop. If ASU beats USC and Arizona they are in the mix, there is West Virgina and if Hawaii wins out that may annoit them as well.
Here is a link I use to track how folks think the BCS will fall out, I will take a day to refresh for Saturday results, however at this point my pics are:
BCS: WV vs LSU
Rose: OSU vs ASU
Sugar: Georgia vs Hawaii
Fiesta: Oregon vs Oklahoma
Orange: VA Tech vs Mizzou

Does the SEC have a championship game? I thought they did. And the way georgia is playing right now, should they beat LSU in the SEC, could they be a 2 loss contender?

absolutely. the sec has a championship game, and georgia is making some serious hay and could definitely end up as a contender for the big game. no doubt. except that they lost to tennessee.

There's so many possibilities for the National Championship game it's ridiculous.
It's too bad that Vandy choked against Tennessee. That would've almost guaranteed an LSU/Georgia SEC Championship game which not only would've been a great game, but would've had huge BCS implications. Hopefully Kentucky can take down the Vols this weekend.
Realistically, everyone down to #7 (Georgia) is still alive.
LSU still has Arkansas which isn't a cake-walk and the SEC Championship (Tenn or Georgia).
One of Kansas or Missouri will be out this weekend and the other will have a tough test of Oklahoma (with Bradford most likely) or Texas in the Big 12 Championship.
West Virginia still has #20 Connecticut who could pull the upset.
Ohio State is done their schedule, but could slip in if a couple teams fall.
Arizona State still has USC this Thursday. A win over the #11 seed would surely boost them ahead of Ohio State.
Georgia, as mentioned, could potentially close the season with a win over #1 LSU. They'd obviously need a lot of help, but everyone ahead of them has games against ranked teams yet to come.
My predictions:
Tennessee beats Kentucky to win SEC East
LSU beats Tennessee in SEC Champ
Missouri beats Kansas
Oklahoma beats Missouri in Big 12 Champ
WV beats UConn
Arizona St. beats USC
National Championship: WV beats LSU
EDIT: What a great week of football though. USC/AZ St on Thursday night, Boise St/Hawaii on Friday night, then Saturday has WV/UConn, Va Tech/Virginia, and KU/Mizzu.

Alright, I've looked at all the teams, and not that it matters, I have ranked all of my teams, in every case it presumes they win out
1. Kansas
2. LSU
3. Mizzu
4. Arizona State
5. Ohio State
6. WVA
JayP I think if ASU beats USC, then ARizona their schedule will move them ahead of WVA both ASU's wins, and the team they lost to is more impressive than WVA. I tend to agree that it feels like the BigXII will manage to cancel each other out. If that does happen we may get back to a 06 rematch of LSU and ASU. I'm a little biased here, but I think many teams would bump WVA

I doubt ASU passes WV if they win out. Arizona, while a decent win, won't do much of anything to sway the voters. ASU beating #11 would definitely move them up, but WV still would have to beat #20 UConn. I don't think that's enough to jump them 3 spots.

I just think the media coverage at that point would be about the relative quality of the respective conferences, for which the PAC10 is better across the board. Most people would agree with that, and may bump them.

ASU should be ahead of WV if they win out. Their one loss was on the road to Oregon! WV lost to South Florida and play in a much weaker conference!

ASU's loss may be Illinois gain, in terms of a BCS birth

A strange season gets even stranger as Arkansas wins 50-48 in triple overtime today. Now who gets to be rated #1?

That was an unbelievable game. I think the winner of Kansas/Missouri goes to #1, followed by WVU.

The winner of Kansas/Missouri.
Good to see over-rated LSU go down. The SEC is so over-rated and that's the only reason LSU was #1. Any other team fails to win almost every conference games in the manner LSU did and they're at the bottom of the one-loss team list.
McFadden = Heisman IMO after that game.
