I'm just pissed that my McLaren F1 didn't make the video. It's sitting in my ten-car garage as we speak, dissapointingly avoiding any police warrants and searches.

They broke the law plain and simple, but there is much hype over this when there are bigger threats on the road. IMHO
Not saying I condone speeding Crotch Rockets or anything, cuz honestly, those guys annoy me a lot too when they're going ridiculous speeds and weaving in and out of traffic, but I think the reason why society in general is not as harsh on them speeding as people in cars is because their potential for injuring others is less than that of a car. If a guy riding a crotch rocket smokes you while you're in a car, chances are he/she is gonna be the one messed up and more often than not, you'd escape that without life threatening injuries.

But yah, I have to say the guys riding those bikes are insane. To think you're going 200+ on a bike, especially at night. You hit a pot hole or a bunch of gravel on the road, and you're toast.

Maybe alberta should adopt ontario's new speeding law....a fine up to $10 000 for being 50 km/h over the speed limit.
I've been sitting on the fence as to whether I should install a laser jammer in my car or not. The one I'm looking at is $2000 installed, so its a little pricey. If Alberta ups the speeding fines to anything close to Ontario, I won't be on the fence anymore.

No doubt Delgar. The V1 would no longer cut it

A permanent move to Germany is looking more and more appealing, for many reasons. Let me tell you, driving on their highways was a thing of beauty.

I'll be in Berlin, then Dresden, then Munich for 2 weeks in September on business (real Oktoberfest...should be fun). I plan to rent a fast car and try it out on a real roadway! Don't need no laser jammer there!

V1 is absolutely the best detector around, I've been researching them since picking up my M3. Let me know what you think about it. My research suggests that to feel safe from the gestapo, I'd need both a detector (like a V1) with a jammer. Some devices combine the two (Escort SRX). And they're completely legal (in BC, Alberta and Sask, anyway).
