It was a bit of a troll post, because if you try to search for van or any other three or less letter word you get this:
Quote:
The following words are either very common, too long, or too short and were not included in your search : van

So now I'm wondering how you were able to get a search result at all!

I still remember one of my first CP meetups was at his house. Had to be around 2005 and about 20 of us got together to help him tear up and old deck and shed. A bunch of us stuck around to watch a Flames game with him. He ended up having a bunch of us over a few times that year to watch games.
I also remember all the random things he would acquire and post them up for sale. I often wondered where he got those things, but never wanted to ask.
I do also remember his dog. She was so loyal to him and so loving.
RIP Joel.

Pro tip, use google to find old threads when the local search fails you.

Yeah, that was wild. It'd be like 3 ton AC unit and a bitcoin mining rig.
Seemed like a guy who was playing the cards he was dealt at 100%
RIP.

Met him and Reaper at least once at the dome years and years ago. Joel was quite a character, our community will miss his contributions.

RIP Flames Gimp. I hope he is forever wearing his favorite, tasteful, black, leather gimp suit and ball gag.

Joel's dog, Stella, had to be put down in June of 2024. He was so devastated. She was such a good girl.

The Van thread was amazing when it was created, had all the twists and turns you'd expect from CP, and I'll forever remember it.
Rest in Peace, FG.
Condolences to his friends and family (and Reaper).

My favourite Flames_Gimp memory is when he made the "Todd Bertuzzi put me in this wheelchair" sign after the Steve Moore incident. Very indicative of his sense of humour for sure.

Ha! I had forgotten that.
I think some Canucks fan wanted to fight him too.

I was at that game with him. Canuck fans were super salty about the sign. One Canuck fan started to beak, realized we were together, and scampered away. That was funny.

RIP Gimp.
I sold him my Xbox 360, brought it over to his place and set it up for him.
