Well that's a huge blow, but not unexpected. He was an absolute legend for this team, and I wish him the best in the next steps in his career.

He's likely the best player we'll see play for the club. He has nothing else to prove, but I'm sad to see him gone. It'll be interesting to see if he catches on in a lower league in Europe, or retires altogether.

Good for Klomp, and in the big picture good for Cavalry.
If we can be seen as a place that helps develop talent, then teams will trust us with better players on loan.

I understand all of it, but that is the toughest part supporting a club like this. Good players are continually going to be leaving for better opportunities.

Terrific news. He's a talented player but I just couldn't believe how slight he was when I met him. One of the tiniest grown men I have ever seen.

He physically might not be able to compete at a higher level than CPL.

Happy to have him back, let's go for the repeat. That day at Atco was amazing.

Interesting. Looks like Malcolm Shaw did not get his option picked up. So, Klomp, Field, Akio and Shaw are the players not returning. At least for now. Wouldn't shock me to see Field back again for a third stint with Cavalry if we have some injuries.

I'd say they need to add at least one defender as there's no depth there as it stands, preferably two. Plus one more attacking/creative player for a different option and then they're cooking.

I think they need a winger a CB and a forward. Maybe need some U21 minutes along the way

Need to fill that Klomp-sized hole on the back end and it won't be easy. As much as I love the team, any chance of repeating will require adding some pretty dynamic players because from the looks of things Forge are absolutely loading up.

I still hold out hope that Cavalry sign Caniggia Elva. His career in Germany plateaued when he was injuried with Ingolstadt in the 2. Liga a couple years ago and he hasn't been with a club since leaving Erfurt in June.

After 11 years abroad maybe he is ready to come home.
