I'd rather get spanked tonight then see some moves

That is exactly what will happen.

Not cheering for a loss, but wont be upset when they do!

Let the beatings continue until morale improves!

I think Calgary will show up for this game, for some reason I fill like they are going to win a couple in a row.

They are 3-1-1 in their last 5

5-8-2 in mid November feels like not an impossible hole to dig out of

But they NEED a pulse from their two top forwards if they want any hope if surviving the murderers row coming up.

I suspect they'll have a losing record through that stretch despite their best efforts.

I'm really hoping for a goalie trade so we can get a regular dose of the future in net. Maybe Markstrom can garner some attention here with his great play

The Flames were 2-0-2 v. Vancouver last year, and have only one regulation loss to the Canucks since 2021.

We've made dozens of trips but we've only gone twice since Gulutzan coached boring hockey. Part of that was covid and the other part was being really stinking busy. My boys played hockey all weekend (and I became coach) and weeknight games are a bit harder to drive up from Lethbridge.

I remember going to quite a few games. When I lived in Calgary my dad would get called up by a busy partner who hadn't given up his tickets yet and he wanted the tickets to be used. I think we went to about 20 games the final year we lived there. After that we'd still drive up 2-3 times per year over the next 4 years until my dad changed jobs. I look back fondly at that.

One season bought a dozen games off of an old friend from Calgary who had season tickets and couldn't go to all the games. I took my father-in-law to one, my dad to about 3 and my kids to the rest. My oldest son and I were in the building when Iginla scored #500. I also scored playoff tickets for the first playoff game in the Dome in 2015. It had been 6 years of no playoffs before that and the building was buzzing. The Flames won too, so extra bonus!

A very awesomely positive thing: Connor Zary, after 6 games, is 24th in the NHL in points per 60 minutes, with 3.64 (minimum 90 mins played).

A sampling of a few somewhat-adjacent bigger-name players, for perspective:
18th: Mikko Rantanen, 3.78
21st: Filip Forsberg, 3.72
22nd: Nathan MacKinnon, 3.71
24th: Connor Zary, 3.64
25th: Tim Stützle, 3.60
27th: Auston Matthews, 3.57
28th: Cale Makar, 3.54

and a couple standout names from wayyy down the list:
64th: Adam Fox, 3.13
65th: Connor Bedard, 3.1

Maybe we could all take just one night off from unnecessarily harsh Huberdeau criticism.
We all know he’s struggling.

Hoping for a 7-6 exciting loss. Every single game until they lock up a lottery pick

That means nothing. Canucks have 3 players with 26 points, Flames top point man has 9. Canucks top 2 goal scorers... have 13 and 10 goals. Flames top scorers have 4 goals. I hate them as much as anyone on here, but that team is rolling right now.

So Mrs. GioforPM suddenly can’t go to the game. If someone wants to go, it’s free except you have to sit by me. No other wifely duties required. We will just have to meet up outside so I can scan you in.

I like Calgary’s chances if they keep out of the penalty box. Canucks were fortunate to get some timely PPs last night.

Jeez... Huberdeau can't even simply control the puck without bobbling it now
