Huh? Only Brock shot bad last year. The rest of them shot good. Well. Quinn didn't shoot.

Hopefully this is another fun game to watch. Hopefully the Flames beat them too. If you are on the rebuild train (as I am), you will know that you can't lose every game in a season, and I would want to beat the Canucks and the Oilers every time.

Vancouver will probably come out harder as I find back-to-back teams normally do. If the Flames can hang in there, they can then capitalize on the tiring Canucks after the mid-point of each period, especially towards the end of the game.

We'll give them the reverse SJ Special - 10-0 for Calgary.

I was at this level when we drafted Pettersson. And then when we drafted Hughes. And then when we hired Boudreau.

I get excited like this a lot. I don't trust this excitement because in the end I always cry.

I've been told I'm a riot before. Does that count?

Canucks have 8 forwards shooting above 15% this year...Pettersson was the only one that shot above 15% last season.

Boeser: 10.1% > 28.3%
Miller: 14.4% > 27.0%
Pettersson: 15.2% > 17.95%
Mikheyev: 14.3% > 19.4%
Suter: 13.2% > 17.4%
Hoglander: 10.3% > 23.1%
Di Giuseppe: 8.5% > 15.0%
Lafferty: 10.5% > 15.00%

Honestly Pettersson is the only one that i'd say "yeah maybe he sustains that", the rest are riding a heater for sure.

Okay, now take away those extra goals. Where are the Canucks in GF right now?

I'm not saying they are bad...I actually really like their forward group.

Think Petterssen is elite, like Boeser, fan of guys like Garland and Beauvillier that aren't even in that group.

Doesn't change the fact that they are riding a heater right now.

I like Petterssen so if he torches us tonight, I don't mind so much. Helps the Flames tank if they lose anyways.

That's fine. Take the goals away.
Someone did the math. They're still like 4th goals for. I think you need to slow your roll and come to terms with the fact this may be the greatest team ever assembled.

It's just fact.

Tides roll in. Tides roll out. You can't explain that.

The time before that I bought from another Lethbridge season ticket holder and saw Jagr's first home game as a Flame... wait... <reads slymonkey's location>... I think I'm on your email list and I think I may have bought tickets from you sometime before Covid!

Scheduling is also another issue but we'll check out your google sheet and see if we can find one that works and reach out to you.

In the few Canucks games I watched this season, Hughes has been amazing. He can really take over a game.

I think I'm going to look for a game that the two of us can go to now.

absolutely go to a game.

i was 16 when my dad somehow got tickets to game 2 of the flames-habs cup final. we drove from kelowna to calgary, checked into the hotel, took the train into down town, had dinner, went to the game - it was awesome. that was 34 years ago and i still remember the trip... and not at all becuz of the hockey game, but becuz i got to spend a couple of days where it was just me and my dad.

Flames have got to stay out of the box.

Vancouver's PP looked amazing last night. Especially early on.
