I'm not overstating the bias. Playing at the bottom of the lineup as a younger player is dicey.

Francis just laying down the appetizer for an accusatory line of post-game questioning we'll surely see should the Flames lose/Phillips not produce.

I don't mind Phillips on the fourth line, especially if tomorrow he's playing with Zahorna

bringing up 2/3 of the wranglers Phillips line to make the new look 4th line here is brilliant work by Treliving

Good chance for Zary and Pelettier to lead the Wranglers too. No safety net to fallback on for those two.

I betcha we're gonna see Kerins playing on Zary's wing at some point. Josh Brook was skating as a placeholder there yesterday.

I am fine with Phillips starting on a line with a guy like lucic.

Looking forward to a W tonight as tomorrow is basically a guaranteed loss unfortunately....

Philly is awesome. Represented the Flames at Pride earlier this year. Good interview, super consistent at the AHL level, has earned this opportunity more than pretty much everyone in that league.

Results are ultimately what matter at the NHL level but from a personal standpoint, the Flames just couldn't have done better with this recall.

Zary's turnaround this year has been impressive. He is almost doubling last year's pace in point production and is back where he should be. I imagine the Flames want him to continue that for now, but I wouldn't be surprised if he is called up at some point.

That Phillips slots ahead of any of the guys in the top 9 right now (Francis suggested he’s better suited to that role).

Playing in the top 9. He said Phillips is not ahead of anyone in the top 9 and it would be a stretch to suggest he belongs there currently.

This is the most excited I've been for a Flames game in quite a while. Facing Gaudreau and calling up Philips has added some intrigue for me. I'm also excited to see what Zohorna can do if he gets a chance on this trip. Amazing what an injection of youth can do to excite the fanbase.

Congrats on your new baby Johnny!

but now pay the price for your idiotic move to Columbus tonight!
