The Blues exorcise the demons from the 2001 game five elimination game against Joe Sakic's Avalanche! Somewhere Ian Hanomansing is having flashbacks.

I ####ing hate Ron McLean. He just can’t help his pathetic self. Bozeck scores the winner but he needs to make it about McDavid as in he admired Bozack as a younger player. Jesus.

Came for McDaniel reference, left satisfied but disgusted.

Twitter seems to be going nuts talking about MacKinnon vs McDavid. Glad the Blues won tonight.

Despite what some would have you believe, fatigue is absolutely a factor, especially in playoffs following a condensed regular season schedule.

Games played matters. Minutes played matters. Rest matters. Freshness matters.

If the league had today’s preparation, fitness, grooming, systems, etc. 30+ years ago would it change who the stars were? It’s easy to assume that the best players would still have been the best, only better, but would they all have thrived in this hockey factory since they were kids? The level of fitness, dedication, diet, etc. might have been a barrier for some but allowed others to rise to the occasion. There are also changes in drafting philosophies that might have an impact.

It’s unknowable but an interesting thought experiment.

The Blues dug themselves out of an Avalanche.

Holy smokes, I can’t believe this.
This is beyond satire.

Man Avs fans have been so lucky. Years of Sakic and Forsberg along with two cups, and now this absurdly talented iteration.

Tonight is a good demonstration that things can truly change on a whim.

Now there has to be doubt in the Avs minds.

Just so long as we don't have to come back from 3-0 and tie it in the last minute, please.

He's been one for years. I really noticed it in 2017 when he had to find an excuse every night to mention him. If he's playing that night I get it. If he's not then talk about players who are.

Yeah, no OT please. Game 7 against Dallas was enough.
