I think I would be fine with that being the final Tom Holland Spider-men movie. It was a great way to wrap up the trilogy (and other two runs).

Move on to a Miles Morales movie, maybe with a hand off from Holland for the fans.

Probably the right time to step away from Holland. Easily the best Spiderman. He was absolutely perfect.

There's talk in the air about 3 trilogies with Holland (high-school, college, adult).

We're not even close to stepping away or handing off. But there will probably also be other arcs running parallel to his, like Morales and potentially an extension of TASM with Garfield in his universe.

Box office dictates studio decisions, and they will milk this spider man thing for all its worth.

Too bad that goes ahead of what feels right within the narrative.

My biggest worry is that although the main Spiderman stuff is great, the side projects (Venom movies) have been pretty lackluster. Spiderman has the potential to create its own universe of films. All of the villains are very character/relationship driven. So cramming them into side roles in bigger Spiderman or MCU projects really doesn't do the characters justice.

That being said, they just need to start making better side-movies. Hopefully, Morbius is good.

I'm actually more excited about the prospects for the next Tom Holland trilogy than the movie it's. I really love when writers given themselves a clean reset.

There's opportunity to do the Black Cat / Felicia Hardy properly. None of the Spiderman movies have really gone too far down the classic Spiderman narrative of a love triangle where Peter and Spiderman are both juggling a love interest, that create an internal conflict nobody else can understand.

I heard speculation maybe Peter could change his name to Ben Reilly and explore a Scarlet Spider story arc. Maybe something went haywire with the spell and it's not just that people forgot Peter Parker, but that they are unable to solidify any new memories related to Peter Parker, causing him to change his name, just so people could remember it.

Lots of good untouched rouges, I think the MCU has left space to do a Kingpin & Smyth / Spider Slayer vs Daredevil and Spiderman team up. Maybe because people can't remember seeing or hearing anything about Peter Parker, but Matt Murdoch has notes in brail he remembers Spiderman is Peter Parker. I'd like to see a Ned Leeds Hobgolbloin arch. We've only ever had scorpion teases, they could do it for real. I think if you build up enough in universe villains you might actually be able to do a sinister 6, it just hasn't been earned yet, I could image the first two movies dealing with the aforementioned villains and then pulling together Vulture, Mysterio, Hobgolin, Scorpion, Shocker... to take revenge on Spiderman.

Because the franchise is so deep, and they started young there are just so many story arcs that could be explored.

Holland is signed on for at least 3 more films, so it's gonna be a few years before this version of Spidey wraps up. As mentioned above, they essentially just wiped the slate clean with No Way Home. There are so many directions they can go in now, which is really exciting.

could be wrong, but as I understand it, Holland is slated for 1 more supporting role, and no more lead roles. But they are actively negotiating for 3 more title films plus other teamups.

Forgot to mention or maybe I did but that Flashpoint book part was hilarious. Just a hard beak at DC for their upcoming Flash movie following that arc from the comics. Little bit of a nana nana boo boo we did it first and also this is literally what we think of your attempt, delegated to our pompous character's book title lol.

Very well done.

Of the Villains we’ve seen, I’d really like to see the Lizard done right at some point. Him being a mindless monster that is a danger to his family and friends that Peter is more trying to save than lock up.

It’d be nice to roll back the characters so not every movie is world-ending stakes. The Lizard, Venom, Kraven are are more personal foes for Peter rather than threats that Spider-Man has to stop. It’s more like they get in the way of taking care of the actual criminals.

You also have to like Curt Conners before he becomes the lizard. I think that's where the version we have struggled, I didn't feel a personal connection to Conners.

Yeah for sure.

The cartoon Spectacular Spider-Man had a great arc with Connors, Brock, and Gwen which coincided with Black Cat and Kingpin. Would love to see them do basically that.

That was fun! So much fan service but still a quality film with emotion.

Funny how everyone praised the MCU after Homecoming for skipping the Spider-man origin story but it turns out they were just giving it to us over a trilogy instead. I enjoyed the Peter Parker character arc and, unlike many MCU films, we got an actual 3rd act that wasn't just a big fight scene but also provided a conclusion with real consequences.

I was worried there were too many villains but it mostly worked. Dafoe especially stole his scenes and ditching the mask plus the interaction with May upgrades his Goblin to the best Spidey villain. Molina was also great and I enjoyed the happier ending to the Doc Ock story. On the other hand Foxx's Electro was just kind of there as a baddie, although I loved the new look, with Lizard and Sandman not having much to do.

The best part of course was the interaction between the three Spider-Men. So many funny references when they were telling stories to each other. Nice it wasn't just cameos but important parts of the movie that were integral to the Holland Parker's arc. Maguire was solid as the older more stoic spider-man while Garfield hit his more angsty insecure spider-man out the park. This really shows how much Garfield was perfect for the role but let down badly by the Sony writers.

The action was fun too. My favourite parts were Spider-man defeating Doctor Strange, the iron spider suit against Doc Ock, and that iconic shot of the three Spideys at the end. It felt like this is the best Spider-man action we have ever seen as it was able to portray both the agility and extreme force involved in a web slinging attack.

The movie is too ambitious at times cramming a lot into 150 minutes and it's best not to think about the plot, with everything explained because magic, but NWH is an enjoyable ride that is a must watch for any MCU or Spider-man fan. 9/10.

So why could Spider-Man move around when Dr. Strange pushed him out of his body?

Spider sense is a physical ability. Or at least that’s my guess.

Yeah it seemed to imply that the Spider Sense was pulling him out of it, although I wish they got into it a bit deeper. It was kind of a big deal.

That movie was so packed with fan service that, of course, they had to glaze over it quickly. That part and when Spider-Field said that after he became rageful, he stopped pulling punches.

Excuse me. But are we not going to talk about how Spider-Field might have straight up murdered guys back in his universe?

That's quite a jump from not pulling punches to murder. I took it to mean he hurt some guys.

Yup true. I was just being facetious with that comment. Maybe should've added green text.

Yeah I would have liked to see even a 30 second glimpse into each other Spider-Man's universes. Would have been easy in the moment they were pulled through IMO.
