Also... one Spider-Man giving a web sling-shot boost to the other two Spider-Man was all kinds of awesome.

It’s best not to think about this. Treat it like the blip. Surface level only. Even the smallest dissection and it breaks down real fast.
What do all the newspapers say for those days/headlines? What about the news reports, YouTube videos, social media posts? It’s basically like a different timeline in the multiverse where events unfolded totally differently.
They did hint it was complete as he has a GED booklet at the end, implying he’s been erased from existence and his own high school wouldn’t have record of him graduating or even attending class there.

I don't like this movie as much as everyone else. It was fun and I was entertained but I just didn't love it.
I feel like they tried to force everyone and everything into the movie and a lot of it didn't make sense to me. So much was done just for the sake of doing it.
I found it to be far fetched, even for a super hero movie. That disappoints me because I really looked forward to seeing this.

Oh for sure I'm not seriously concerned. haha. I missed the GED and was wondering same thing about all the historical media. The idea he is completely erased works for me.

Loved the movie, but why didn’t he just ask for everyone to forget that mysterio even existed?

Knowledge of Mysterio's existence is divorced from knowledge that Peter Parker is Spider-Man. For instance, some people would have learned who is from second and third hand sources.
Technically, it fits.

One of the biggest Spider-Man villains is in the process of being reintroduced.. cross show spoilers so I won't name the name. But if you know you know.
I also have faith in Marvel that they could dip into the B list and still make it work... at least on some scale. I mean come on, Batroc the Leaper? Epic cameo.

There would be no second or third hand sources if there was no first hand source.
Show was realty really good. I hope we see (ahh) more daredevil in the future too.

With Peter being alone now and purposely staying away from MJ (at least for now), I'm thinking we're gonna see Black Cat in the next movie, maybe in the employ of Fisk. Would make for a fun lower stakes movie where Spidey can be just a street level hero again and give him a possible short term love interest

A movie with Spider-man, Daredevil, Black Cat and the Kingpin would be incredible. With those characters you could have a marvel movie without a CGI spectacle in the final act, and it would still be amazing.

I see the spell as brainwashing rather than changing history.
So if you just make people forget mysterio as the pats is rewritten it just writes out Mysterio.
Ned and MJ get into MIT because Spider-Man saved the admissions person not because a timeline changed. So if you get rid of mysterio people would still know Spider-Man is Peter Parker they just don’t know why they know.

Saw NWH on saturday and it was almost everything I wanted and more. Selfishly I was hoping for a Emma Stone cameo lol... Greedy I know.
I thought the movie was great and the way it ends really grounds Peter and Spiderman.
I am interested if spidey pops up in the Hawkeye finale at all, even as a silhouette.
My biggest disappointment was the mid credit scene. I thought they did Venom dirty like that, he should have got a 5 seconds with spidey in a scene or not have him at all.

I thought we would get Stone and Dunst cameos.
The plot "leaks" months ahead had them in it, so I thought just maybe.

I watched Venom/Carnage after NWH, and it's stupid they put this massive teaser at the end of Venom only for it to mean almost nothing in Spider-Man. If I had watched Venom first and gotten excited over that bit I would have been pissed

Bottom line, I agree, but there's a small amount of payoff. The Venom Symbiote is now in the MCU. I suppose since J. Jonah is the same person across Universes it's possible that the Tom Hardy version is partly co-opted into the MCU.
With Hardy being one of, if not the only, decent part of the Venom franchise I would expect they are exploring the option of having him full-time MCU eventually. I wonder what the appetite would be for a non-Hardy Venom...

I don’t see why they’d go thru all that just to keep Hardy in the MCU. He already went back to his universe.
If they wanted to go the JJ route, and have them be the same, why would they bother with the post credits scenes at all?

I really enjoyed that. So many great things about the movie, aside from the silly plot. Garfield was my favorite part of the movie, Dafoe was brilliant, it was just lovely. The way the theatre lost their #### when Toby showed up was really cool.
