Totally agree. The team looked a little tired as the game went on but who knows......they've been surprising me all season. At least we're having fun. Tomorrow should be more of the same. Hopefully more gifs tomorrow night.

I don't even know how they'll be able to play...they looked absolutely knackered for a lot of the 3rd.
I thought, with about 8 minutes to go, Monny and his line (but especially 23) had a phenomenal shift hemming the Isles in their zone and really generating some good counterbalance. Nice to see.
That was a butt-clencher for sure at the end.
It was a pretty unique situation...night one in a new building with the crowd going crazy. Not to mention all the PKs.
I will feel so much better about what happened over the last 3 weeks if this COVID depleted team could find a way to win tonight

Finally, I could take Millen as color analyst all day. Really enjoyed listening to him this trip.
Both Cassie and Hrudey seem to have other agendas given their other roles at the network and some of their analysis seems forced or limited or very general when doing Flames games. Millen has been doing color for 25+ years, it's all he wants to do, not join the studio, and adds more in-game insight and actually NHl experience stories that add an enjoyable element, and he's right up to speed with the game and the play.
