We have cap space. This team desperately needs an offensive spark and if there is not a deal to br made right now what can it hurt? It isn't like offensively he will be worse than Backlund, Lucic, Jankowski, Reider, ect.

I agree. I feel the same about buddy too at this point.

My two cents... Buddy has been the best player on his line since he has been called up, and Bennett would be better as a net front presence on the PP than what we have used all year to this point.

Czarnik in and Jankowski out would be a wash money wise. One gets scratched on the regular here while the other is scoring in the A and worth a shot on the 4L at the least with the big club. Plus the team wants RHS. Seems like a no brainer.

I don't think it's a coincidence that Bennett couldn't get a sniff of real minutes under Ward until the last week where Bennett has gone from ~11 minutes a night to ~15.

Prior to the all Star break Bennett had 0 of his last 8 games over 13 minutes. Since the all Star game, he hasn't had a game under 13, and played as much as 16 minutes in the mega loss to the oilers while being 2 seconds shy of 15 minutes in the win over the oilers.

Are they playing him more because he asked for more icetime again, or because they are showcasing him Hodgson style or...because he's playing well?

So, I've watched every game this year, and usually watch every game that I can. I've been so disheartened this year, I feel like I'm hanging on by a thread. I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt this game, but I'll go watch Critical Role live if things aren't working in the Flames favor. It's yucky feeling like this.
