This is the Czarnik I saw flashes of last year in Boston. Glad he's finally bringing it, hope he keep sit up.
Love that the depth is getting it done with the top 4 forwards gone cold. Bodes well for when they heat up again, and also the depth grinding out a win in a close game is how a lot of playoff games are. I like what we're seeing

Awesome. To add to the awesomeness, 27 points ahead of the Oilers.

Still 1/4 of the season left. Lots of time for the top line to get rolling again. This is not a concern.
Actually, I have zero concerns right now.

They deserved the two, but damn, to be in another league and yet make it that close with the Ducks and Sens is a bit disturbing.
Can't go into the playoffs making old and unproven goalies look Vezina caliber.
A move for more skill tomorrow may be a wise decision.

I like Bennet on the second line, but I dont like Jankos line without Bennet on it.
I think a new second line right winger with Fro the odd man out is probably the best path forward. Nyquist, Simmonds, Kreider, Hayes and of course Stone could fill that hole.

Great win! I'll be at the next two games against the Isles and Devils! Hopefully keep the record going.

Yup. Much easier to get the top guys going again than if we were lacking secondary scoring and had to find a solution for that. Not worried either.

Game Takes:
Flames 2 Senators 1
- Rittich solid in return
- Czarnik game winner
- Flames take Sens a little lightly
- Do we want Calgary to win the division? Knights struggling

That's true, but it was boring waiting for the win. Really odd game. Not a shred of urgency by anyone.

Czarnik was being underused all season long. He's always had this in him

When the top line gets rolling again, teams like Ottawa and Anaheim don't stand a chance. Taking out the top line, and still walking away with a win is definitely a good thing.

Magic number to clinch a playoff spot down to single digits too.

Not at all he was outplayed and looked out of place compared to all the call-ups, he had chances on the pp and up with backs and didn't take advantage and thats on him. Good for him to work hard and find his game

Nice to see Czarnik finally breaking out.
Seemed odd that Tre and Peters went all out to woo him last summer but then Peters parked him up until recently.

Early in the year I thought he looked great. Couldn't figure out why he'd get into a game, then sit out a week or two before getting another chance. But he definitely did go dark there for a few weeks in December/January
