What does Monika do for a living? Maybe she needs to find a new hobby rather than trolling/bullying people on social media. That stuff eventually catches up to you.

It probably wouldn't be hard to cover your tracks, but the type of people who do stuff like that usually don't do a good job of covering their tracks. All it takes is one slip-up and the whole thing unravels.
If you look at the story of the Philadelphia 76ers GM who resigned last week because his wife (or at least she took the fall) was posting anonymous comments about the team and players on Twitter, one of the smoking guns is that the accounts had posted from locations that lined-up with places where he had been on those days (and not places that a regular fan would have been). For example, one time, the account posted a comment about the 76ers D-league team on the same day that Colangelo made his one visit of the season to watch the D-league team play.
I wonder what kind of evidence the Karlssons have that Hoffman's girlfriend is the culprit? I doubt they'd make an allegation like this without some significant proof.

That in itself makes me feel like they wouldn't just make this up. Honestly think Hoffman's best course of action would have been to stay quiet...because now by releasing this statement he's implicated himself in the whole thing.

Ms. Caryk's got a few more flattering pics where she doesn't look quite so evil:

Lets not all judge a book by the cover here. Innocent till proven guilty and all. Im positive the paper chose that image to portray her that way to fit the story.
Some very strong accusations and speculation. Im sure the karlssons feel strongly she is guilty to make them.

isn't there anyone waiting to see how this plays out before playing judge on Hoffman's GF?
seems that these are still allegations.
and even if true. there is likely a fair chance hoffman didn't have a clue what she was doing.
I'm not going to judge a guy on what a psycho partner may have done.

Travel agent apparently. before then ran an ambercrombie and ditch/finch...whatever.
Degree in criminology though. so if anyone has the wherewithal to cover up burner accounts properly shed be one of them.

supporting someone you love isn't really implicating himself.

the whole thing is messed up. Either Hoffmans fiance is a despicable human being, or she's wrongly accused of being a despicable human being. There's no good outcome here. Wonder what the Karlssons' evidence is ... you can't just go around and throw out accusations like these.

My wife has a degree in criminology. It really doesn't give you any insight into that kind of stuff. If she had computer experience - that would be far more likely.

I mean I guess this could be Karlssons wife dealing with a major postpartum psychological breakdown and lashing out, but I think even in a few hours from now the amount of people that will come out and correlate the behavior of Hoffmans wife will be insurmountable.
Or not. Just utterly digusting which ever way this turns.

For a peace bond application you don't need much. To get the peace bond you need a bit more.
The fact this wasn't served is odd. Usually you do it ASAP to stop the harassment. Usually if it is not served right away, it means the person filed it while upset or angry of afraid but has second thoughts about actually proceeding.
That all said, I find it hard to believe that Melinda Karlsson would just make all this up or assume with no reason these messages came from Caryk. So there's some sort of negative history there.

I hope the court does, of course.
The allegations seem pretty well-informed though, and Hammond's wife calling this 'unsurprising' pushes the needle just that little bit more.
She seems to have a good mix of crazy vs. sane.
Not that pictures mean anything, but it sure helps putting a face to an accusation.

Well yeah. Until it's proven it's just allegations. Seems to be a lot of smoke though as some evidence must have come up for the Karlsson's to come out with such allegations. Also you have wives of other players saying they aren't surprised. Time will tell.

I could definitely see it being a bit difficult to proceed with serving a teammates partner. I wouldn't be surprised if this was largely intended as a warning shot hoping for some resolution that way.

I suppose it could have been sent but not officially served. I've done that with certain documents so as to say "this is what will get filed if we can't come to terms". Although in this case because it was actually filed, it was accessible to the public.

|
You don't go off on it at all, death of a baby or not. That's likely to get you more than named in an OOP and cost you some money. Based on the whole "innocent until proven guilty" premise, I would hope Karlsson nabbed screenshots of the alleged comments to back up her request for an OOP.
Just a lot of koo-koo for cocoa puffs going on here if true.

The court documents point specifically to an Instagram comment from March.
After the couple's first child was pronounced stillborn, Karlsson created a post mourning the child's death and thanking Senators fans and the hockey community for their support. One comment stood out, though, different in tone and message from the rest.
“I feel bad for the baby he didn’t have a chance with Melinda popping pain killer medication everyday," wrote user @sandydandy45. (The account was later deactivated.)
Karlsson, who did not attach a name when addressing the comment, did bring up a pattern of abuse, consistent with what Melinda alleged in the order of protection and summarized in her comments to the courts.
“How dare you. You have been making fake accounts and buying hacked ones for months to harass me and my wife but this is an all new low even for you," Karlsson wrote. "You are a disgusting person.”
oh man if you only knew how unsurprising this actually is. horrible just horrible. and the worst part of all of this is how @MelindaCurrey just wanted to keep this private because she’s THAT nice of a person even when a person can be this cruel to her. https://t.co/L3UEmuIpDO

Heres the thing: This is the kind of crazy you just cant make up.
It makes it more plausible.
Either way, they'll all get their say.
