Brad Treliving's update on Mike Smith was that the #Flames starting netminder did not skate this road trip. He is still day-to-day and "they'll know more" when he gets back to Calgary and settled. Still no timetable on his return.

The silver lining to missing the playoffs is that there is a good excuse for canning GG; however, the reality is management will probably blame the failure on losing Smith and give GG another chance.
So those of you hoping for a GG firing at seasons end, prepare to be disappointed.

Im in Ontario with cogeco cable and, unless I知 mistaken, will not be able to watch this game. No Phoenix feed, so if sportsnet west is blocked out for me, I知 paying a lot of money to not watch the game. Pretty rediculous

Starting to think this trip with Smith had more to do with his mom and the same "fake" practice Gio took part in after getting injured a couple of years ago than him being close. I would not be surprised if they shut him down for the season on Monday afternoon.

Only problem is you'll have to actually play those two lines for ~50 mins to avoid terrible defensive gaffes
And GG would never be so rowdy as to actually shake up kid lines to put his best 6 players in the top 6 positions

Im also really wondering if Smith has not been a smoke screen. I have a bad feeling injury is much worse then reported. Keeping it from team/media/competition until post trade deadline
