For a supposedly "tougher" team, the Oilers sure have a lot of players who have trouble staying on their feet when they feel an opposing player anywhere near them.

Kassian tried to crush Getzlaf and almost killed teammate Desharnais.

Ducks down to 4 defensemen. Something the Flames might be able to exploit on tomorrow's back-to-back.

Two minutes for getting pushed into your own net.

Sekera pushes Eaves into his net yet Eaves gets the penalty. Yeah, makes total sense...

Hopefully the Oilers can't.

That was a pretty shabby looking penalty the Ducks just got.

The Flames tailed off a bit from their streak, as tends to happen, but their underlying stats and possession game has been strong and allowed them to bounce back quickly with no elongated losing streak afterward.

Wonder if Edmonton will tail off the same way. Except having possession stats near the bottom among ARI, VAN, BUF might result in things going more the way, especially if line 1's production stalls for any amount of time. Literally the single most crucial thing for any team facing them will be to limit McDavid. Everything good happening for them lately is going through him.

Anyways.. enough talk about that. *rinses out mouth*
Here's the advanced stats for the last 33 games. Oilers near the bottom for sure.

Not sure how predictive corsi splits are though.

I am a child. So I snickered at that line.

Getzlaf talking to the ref at the end of the period. Looked like he said "so we have a call coming our way, right."

No it was a bad call, he was guided in. Maybe the ref thought he could have stopped sooner but there is no way that is a penalty.
