The only way i'm prepared to sign Parenteau is if he goes by his actual name and not "P. A."
I don't know why that bugs me so much.
All that aside, the guy seems to be a Flame killer and put up points against us all the time. Not my first choice but there are worse options out there for RW on the top line.

What are your feelings about T(Thomas)J(James) Brodie??
I think Parenteau would honestly be our best option at #1RW slot. He's got a lot in common with Hudler - high IQ, good playmakers who aren't great skaters and don't do too much beyond providing some offense.
I think he'd be the best fit with Johnny and Monahan
Parenteau may just be done. He's failed in his last couple stops and now cut from the Isles.
Doubt he'd be an upgrade for us. Rather take the chance on Ferland or Pulkinen

PA on waivers? Last year he was one of the better players on the Leafs (I know that isn't saying much) and his attitude was great. I don't get that at all.
For his cap hit someone has gotta pick him off waivers.

Did he fail last year with the Leafs? Honest question. Seemed to be a good player for them.

He was great. One of the few brights spots. Really flourished under Babcock and played a decent defensive game too. Seemed to be good with the younger players too. I think he would fit in well with the Flames actually.
The only thing I can think of is maybe he put on a lot of weight ever the summer or something because I don't get why the Islanders would sign him and then drop him before the season even starts.

Honest question, if he did so well, why did the leafs try to trade him at the deadline and then no one bit and he was let go for free? And then a year later put on waivers even with a very friendly cap hit?
Like I said earlier, he reminds me a lot of Glencross where he will score some goals and then go missing in 5 game stretches.
