No kidding, so did Baird obviously.

To me, these early returns are still surprising, even if they were 'predicted'.

If there ends up being a Liberal majority, in combination with the NDP Provincial government, this city is 5 years away from Detroit status IMO. It;s very easy for those that do not work in the O & G sector to root for Socialism or free everything for everyone. But even if that is what you want, you cannot deny, it does not work for this provinces economy. And you have zero right to complain when this provinces economy implodes farther than it has.
It's very, very easy for those that make their money selling oil to lecture the rest of us on how the country should be run.

I'm lucky, I'm basically unattached, owe next to nothing on my home, and don't have a ton of debt. Most families in this Province don't have that luxury. It's them I worry about.

I'm just going off what I'm seeing on some of my groups. Granted, there is a segment of the population on those groups, who don't even have a clue why they're voting, and whose pant legs tend to have higher IQs. So watching a few heads going kablooey would likely thin the ranks a bit. Not a bad thing.

This is one of the reasons I voted liberal for the first time in My life. Crockat told me on the phone that this was what she believed and that climate change was aprotectionist racket funded by the U.S. Oil Industry.

My mentions on Twitter are full of stories of pre-filled ballots for the Conservatives. Not a single one for Libs or NDP yet.

Those Atlantic Canada popular vote numbers for the Conservatives are insane. As Andrew Coyne just mentioned, the PCs had far, far better numbers in that region in 1993 when they only managed 2 seats in the House of Commons.
