I'll be honest, I thought his ceiling would be a 2nd centreman when the Flames drafted him. Now he's showing he could be a legitimate #1 centreman. He is always in the right spot at the right time when shooting. It's mindblowing at times how a little flick he does on his blade when he shoots can beat top goalies in the league.

between somewhat and big time. I thought he'd be a high end 2nd line centre, now I see him being a legitimate #1c

That would have been big praise before. Now it might be that Trevor Linden was beta-version Sean Monahan.

I expect him to do the Kessel run in 10 Parsecs.

He's been great this year but nothing has really changed. He's still a 2nd line center in the long run. He'll play behind Bennett and be a devastating secondary scorer.

He is turning into what I thought he would 1-2 years quicker. I expected a bit of a sophomore slump bit figured he would be a 50-60pt guy at 21. His defensive ability and taking on other teams top lines is notnsomethingninexocted until his 4th season.

I wouldn't be surprised with a 35 goal 80pt year as soon as next season.

I do tend to agree that Bennett will be the top scoring center in the future but I see a Malkin-Crosby scenario where the Flames have 2 first line centers and not a clear #1 and #2
