Why do people still assume they can't win on the road?

Seahawks looked strong last night no doubt. Percey Harvin adds a great dimension to that offense when they put him in motion. Too many guys for the D to shift their focus to at times. They will be tough to beat, especially at home.

Seattle went 6-2 on the road last year. Is that better than 4-4?

Will you still take the time to post about what terrible people Seattle Seahawks fans are?

man, i loved that fake option pass for the TD, just a beautifully designed/executed play.

the packers d just isn't going to be good enough again i think this year. which is too bad, not because i'm a packers fan or anything, but it just feels like rodger's elite talent is going to go to waste for another year.

found this pretty funny, regarding what sherman and rodgers said to each other after the game:

I quite enjoyed when Sherman pushed the Packer into Thomas on the one punt, then later on whiffed on a tackle he should have had.

Sherman and Thomas are the kind of players where if they're on your team, you love them, but if they played anywhere else you can't stand their antics. They're like 80's WWF heel levels of over the top cockiness.

...and after watching that game, as a fan of another pre-season NFC favourite, I'm officially terrified of Seattle. They've always had the D, but it looks like they're developing a decent O too...or the Packer D is just that bad, I can't decide which. Either way, Seahawks basically picked up where they left off in the Super Bowl.

Sherman is annoying because he's not Revis or Peterson or Haden, he's not a true shut down guy. For instance if the Lions played the Seahawks tommorrow, the Lions could scheme to have Megatron avoid Sherman altogether because Sherman only plays the left side of the defense. But if the Lions played the Patriots, Revis would be on Megatron virtually every snap.

Sherman is a very good player, but I don't think he's the best corner in the league. If you can avoid him all together, he can't be considered better than guys who cannot be avoided. Still very nice to have an entire side of the field, but he'll be seeing lots of #3 and #4 receivers this year because teams will be putting their best guys on the other side.

In their last two games, the Seahawks have played two of the best quarterbacks in the modern game, Peyton Manning and Aaron Rodgers, and outscored them by 55 points. Against Manning in the Super Bowl, it was a brutal defensive beatdown. On Coronation Night at CenturyLink Field, it was … well, so many things. Mostly imagination and offensive depth.

Pete Carroll did cop to hatching the play. “We’ll go anywhere to find a play,” the Seattle coach said afterward. “And that one—uh, Muschamp at Florida, no … Auburn. They ran it. Give Gus Malzahn credit. That’s a great play. I kept telling them [the offensive staff and players] this summer, ‘It’ll work, it’ll work.’ But it didn’t work all summer.”

Just because the Seahawks run a different scheme doesn't mean Sherman's not every bit as good as those other guys. The few times Sherman has shadowed a reciever he has been just as dominant.

Both the Packers and the Broncos ceded the right side of the field to Sherman and it played right in to Seattle's hand. It allows Seattle to flood the left side of the field and force the QB to make a super accurate throw or face the consequences (see Maxwell's pick last night). It also essentially makes the right tackle the blind side tackle as the QB is always looking to throw to the left. This can create huge mismatches for the Seattle Dline to exploit (see Bennett's strip sack last night).

It's at the point where an offense should almost try to attack Sherman. He's good, but I'm not sure that he is good enough that you should have no throws in his direction.

They want you to play to the left, it allows them to game plan half the field.

Put your top receiver out there and let your QB and WR make the plays against Sherman.

Seahawks showing their dominance again. Bad news for my Cards. Now I've got to hope the 49ers crumble or have a lesser record than us.

Well this better not be true

League office should never be involved in something like this, for any reason.

Absolutely, they're right up there with Canuck and Rider fans. They go out of their way to shove their team pride in your face.

Whether its Vancouvers "7th man" or Seattle's "12th man" its all super cheesy and annoying.

Hell, the Shehawks retired the number 12 in honor of their fans, haha how ridiculous is that.

They're just easy for the whole league to hate. Just like Vancouver employing players like Kesler and Burrows, Seattle has Richard Sherman and Earl Thomas to go along with their annoying bandwagon fans. Even their jersey's are practically the same, dark blue with a dash of puke green.

Haha I guess I really don't like the green uniform, my three most hated teams are the Canucks, Seahawks and Riders.

Yeah that is the Niner's biggest challenge. If their replacements can do a decent job until Bowman and Aldon are back then look out.

Adding those two caliber of players for the home stretch would be massive. Also don't forget DL Glenn Dorsey, would be a big boost to the D-line in December when he returns.

I'm just happy they should be back for the games against Seattle, it's gonna be a bloodbath!

He wasn't a rookie last year. They could have avoided him all year but instead he racked up the stats.

It's funny everyone calling Seahawk fans bandwagoners. I'm used to it though because I went through it in '03 with everyone calling all the flames fans bandwagoners.

Well, its just one niner fan saying it so...
Equating Seahawk fans with other teams because their jerseys are blue is really a stretch.

Back to real football talk, GB coach has said they didnt purposefully not throw at Sherman, they just wanted to try Nelson on the left to see what would happen, if the Seahawks would switch Sherman over. They didnt and GB didnt throw to the right side of the field all night.

Also the niners will start McDonald on Sunday because he is out on bail and available.
