He never said that but you are suggesting sexual harassment is grounds for beating the sweet Jesus out of somebody with a nightstick and that is just not true.

I'm not sure what you're not understanding. I'm fine with the way the cops handled it. You were the one that said it would be nice if the cop pulled out his baton and gave him an unjustified and therefore criminal beating. That's what I was responding to. I never said I was okay with sexual harassment.

That's why I give a lot of credit to Police Officers and all they have to put up with.

That's why I said I would support if he would have done that.

So your point is that you would have supported the police officer if he committed a criminal act? You realize it's 2014, not 1952, right?

So you resort to name calling right away, doesn't do much for your argument.

I'll stick to what I said and just agree to disagree.

But what you said was that you'd support a criminal beating by a Canadian police officer. It was a ######ed thing to say, and one opposed by likely everyone on this message board. Don't be surprised when there's backlash for such a ridiculous comment.

You are? I guess I don't think that's good public behavior and there just seems to be so much of it theses days like people aren't accountable.

You sure it wasn't just you? You've called me ######ed and told me to get out of my country, anything else?

You think I'm the only one who thinks a police officer committing a criminal act is a ridiculous thing to support? I didn't tell you to get out of the country, I suggested that if unjustified police beatings are up your alley, there's other countries that may suit you better.

Also, I didn't call you ######ed, I called your idea ######ed.

You don't beat someone with a weapon when they don't pose an immediate harm to anyone, your reasoning is bad. Dude made a dumb mistake, doesn't deserve to be physically harmed as the harm caused to the officer would not justify permanent physical harm. Morally you beat someone with a weapon to neutralize a legitimate threat.

Beating up Claude Giroux with a nightstick can't be a good career move as a cop either.

Interesting, you give a lot of credit to Police but have no idea how they are supposed to function in a civil society.

Anyway on topic, sounds like Giroux was pretty drunk in public got questioned by the police and instead of co-operating decided to shine them on with some "good game butt slaps" and they took the appropriate measures arresting him and putting him in the drunk tank. I was pretty worried when I saw the initial headlines but at least it wasn't as bad as Patrick Kane's bender weekend.

I have to imagine Flyers brass are going to be keeping pretty close tabs on him. He's their franchise player and captain and should conduct himself better than this in public. You can be sure Snider and the rest of management won't put up with too much more of this and have shown they're not afraid to trade anyone if they are a detriment to the team or its culture.
