Monahan instagrammed that he'd be back in Calgary during that camp, so even if he doesn't play, I'm sure he'll be around

Daniel Nugent-Bowman @DNBsports
Former Saskatoon Blade Collin Valcourt and Saskatonian Corbin Boes have accepted invites to Calgary Flames camp, per agent Jason Davidson.

Prospects must go to three camps (unless of course they exceed the number of NHL games in that time), after that it's entirely optional. Given Johnny's history of picking hockey over most other things, though, I wouldn't be surprised to see him.

Sorry if already said earlier in this thread, but is their a scrimmage on the 4th?
It's the only day I think I can make it down. Wasn't sure if they'd play a game or just do drills?

The 4th is the first day and will most likely be off ice testing going by past year's schedules.
When the schedule comes out there will be an official date and time for the scrimmage.
Unless the coaches mix it up most days will be mostly drills.

They're really not messing around with their size mandate. Everyone coming in so far is 6'2"+ (Bennett excluded).

Very interested to see Jankowski this year. Hopefully he's in great shape and regenerates some of the excitement people had about him.

Klimchuk is confirmed to be attending. Looking forward to meeting up with old roommate Sam Bennett:
http://www.calgaryherald.com/sports/...medium=twitter
Quote:
The forwards skated on the national under-18 side last spring and, in fact, had been roommates on the gold-winning entry at the world championship in Sochi, Russia.
“I know him quite well,” says Klimchuk, a left-winger. “A great person and an even better player.”
So when his employers chose Bennett?
“I was really excited,” he says. “For the Flames to get a guy like that, who I am pretty familiar with? It’s very beneficial because you can skip the introduction.”
Asked for a snapshot of his chum, Klimchuk doesn’t hesitate.
“Real good all-around player — he does it all. He’s someone who doesn’t like to get pushed around. He can contribute on all sides of the puck. Good with the puck. Good away from the puck. It shows why he was the fourth-overall pick. He could have been the first-overall pick — he’s that good.”
For Klimchuk — and his buddy Bennett — this week kicks off a hectic stretch.

Stoked to see that both Mattsson and Rafikov are attending! It's one thing for a NA to attend but it shows a lot when a Euro makes the effort to come over.
