After the fight, O'Brien skated up to Glencross and gave him like a "way to go" tap with his stick, which looked strange because they were on opposite teams.
Something behind the scenes must have happened with Jones. It seems that it's not just the coaches and management that don't like him, but the other players too.

#Flames D in Edmonton: Butler-Wideman; Kulak-Russell; Kanzig-Smith. Ramo and Berra will be the goalies on the road.

Ramo/Berra better stand on their heads with that D in front of them.

Byron-Granlund-McGrattan!

I remember when McGrattan was Boyd's monster friend.

Glad you guys going to the game in Calgary get to see the better lineup.

The stream they are showing is from Edmonton. Glad to see Ramo, but would have loved to see the Monahan-Poirier-Ferland line.

Hopefully the updates will be plenty from the posters attending Calgary game.

There is no stream of the game in the Saddledome, unless the Oilers site is broadcasting it.

edit - looks as though there may still be a chance. "TBD"

Posted in the other Training Camp thread too, the Discussion one I guess its called, anywho...
Just got home but I saw some of the first scrimmage and most of the second.

Just some quick points on who stood out to me.

Backlund - He was rushing to puck up ice and gaining the zone constantly. Really liked his game, made some great passes, and back checked hard.

Giordano - To me, it was the Gio of old. Making great passes, pinching effectively, just an overall solid effort.

Brodie - Very steady and even carried the puck deep into the offensive zone several times.

Monahan - Won the vast majority of faceoffs I was able to see. Great puck possession. Kid has such a good IQ and knows where to be. His top shelf off the bar goal short side was a damn thing of beauty.

Ferland - To me, looked better than Jackman and any other player of that mold. Nice hands, great board play and decent speed.

Poirier - I thought he was pretty effective using his speed and made some nice passes.

Glencross - We know what he brings. But certainly need to mention as he stood out. In my opinion the best winger. Great speed, tried to attack the net many times.

Stempniak - Similar to Glencross, used his speed and positioning to make plays effectively.

O'Brien - Nothing fancy, but plays a hard game and able to keep the puck in the zone a few times.

Wotherspoon - This guy is solid. Just a calm steady presence on the blueline.

Sieloff - Easily my favourite blueliner. Laid out Nemisz in front of the net in the 2nd game. He doesn't take a shift off. Takes the body and got some pucks on net. He blocked a hard slap shot and the crowd and bench gave him big props for that.

Kanzig - Probably stood out mostly because he is a little like Godzilla. But actually was quite effective. Gotta love that size.

Jooris - Found myself checking the roster sheet on him. Scored a beauty goal and made some slick passes.

I thought Ramo and I think it was Berra made some great saves. Desperation type saves. This from the top of my head and after a couple afternoon beers but thats who stood out to me.

Some players like Cammy, Knight, Baertschi, and Horak were solid. But just didn't standout like the others mentioned.

Glad to see rookies stepping up and impressing at camp. Also great to see bets like glencross and stempniak not taking anything for granted and showing the kids how NHLers have to play.

Oilers are streaming the Rexall game, and Flames are streaming the Dome game, is what it sounds like.

Also, when are we deciding a nickname for him? I don't want to call him anything that dirty edmontonians called him but i'll be pretty bummed if it doesn't sound d-baggy and start with "bro".

My sister and I were talking about the Jones-Glencross dust-up, and she heard somewhere that Glencross wasn't happy with what he perceived to be Jones dogging it and not giving it his all.

That may be why SOB (who apparently was on Jones' team) tapped Glenny in an appreciative way after the dust-up.

For what it's worth.

Or, it's pre-season and players are going after each other with some intensity trying too get noticed.

Wait, no it will be the Edmonton game getting streamed.

Why are they going to make us watch the notably weaker lineup get blown out in front of Oiler fans? I'd rather watch the lineup with the Ferland-Monahan-Poirier line as well as Cammy, Glencross, and Gio.

They allow fighting in the intra-squad games? I know really want to see our heavies killing each other.

Still a chance that the Oilers website streams the dome game.

Oh yeah, you could really tell how much Sherman hated Jones when he gave him that 16M contract or how Sacco continued to play him with Landeskog and Stastny despite the huge struggles he was having....

If anyone it was O'Brien in the doghouse.

Edit: Talking about Blair, not David so I'm a jackass.

I read that it was that Jones slashed Glencross and Glencross through him into the glass. After that they both dropped their gloves but landed no punches.
