I know posters don't like Hockeybuzz, but there is a poster that has a good write up on the 2nd game.

May have already been asked, but is the split-squad game tomorrow televised in any form or ipad-to-appletv function?

Goalies for tomorrow's games:

Aaron Vickers@VickersFC2m
For those wondering about exhibition, Joey MacDonald and Joni Ortio will stay in Calgary while Reto Berra and Karri Ramo are off to Edmonton

I hope they play 1/2 the game each. Perfect seeing how Ramo and Berra stack up against the same lineup.

Interesting. I thought for sure they would give Brossoit the game in Edmonton. He probably knows that rink better than even Dubnyk (he has certainly won more games there).

The Flames first round pick in the 2013 NHL Draft scored two goals and registered two assists in Team B's 5-1 win over Team A. He spent the bulk of his time on a line with Mike Cammalleri and David Jones but also skated with a few other lines as the teams shuffled centremen.
"We rotated through double shifts and you get to know the guys better and see what your hockey IQ is all about," Monahan said afterwards, noting the team built chemistry through line shuffling. "You have to be smart and react to who you're playing with."
Quote:
Flames head coach Bob Hartley raved about Monahan's strong play on Friday afternoon, lauding the pivot's play in his own zone.
"Here's a big-sized centre that takes care of his game in the three zones. You can tell just by talking to him, by watching him that once you give him a mandate, he wants to do it as a pro. I think that's huge.
"Usually, first-year kids coming into camp, they're still lots of kid left in them ... you can start judging their progression usually in their second camp. But with Sean, we can already see a very good progression, a very good understanding of the game."

The game in Edmonton will be streamed live on CalgaryFlames.com.

Scott Cruickshank ‏@CruickshankCH 30m #Flames scrimmage goals today -- Monahan (2), Hudler, McGrattan, Ferland, Cammalleri, Jooris, D.Jones. And? Glencross and B.Jones fought.

Interesting. Anyone at the scrimmage see this? Not sure how I feel about one of our leaders fighting in a scrimmage.

Bouma and O'Brien also got into it.

Both were more of scuffles than actual fights. Things were intense.

It wasn't much of a fight. They did drop their gloves, but not many (if any) punches were thrown.

It was at the far end of the rink, so it was hard to tell what caused it. They were definitely angry and Glencross was still chirping at Jones as he went to the bench.

After the fight, O'Brien skated up to Glencross and gave him like a "way to go" tap with his stick, which looked strange because they were on opposite teams.

Wes Gilbertson@SUNGilbertson5m
Flames first-rounders Monahan and Poirier will be in lineup Saturday at Saddledome. Also, Backlund, Brodie, Cammalleri, Glencross, Giordano.

Wes Gilbertson@SUNGilbertson4m
Among #Flames heading to Rexall Place for Saturday's split-squad games are Baertschi, Galiardi, Hudler and Wideman.

Wes Gilbertson@SUNGilbertson3m
In goal, MacDonald and Ortio will split time for #Flames at Saddledome, Berra and Ramo will tend the twine in Edmonton.

When we first picked up Blair Jones, he was a great 4th liner. I hope he can become that again this season.

Just heard on the FAN that one line will be Ferland - Monahan - Poirier...

looks like they are more concerned with winning the home game than the road game (which of course registers a zero on the surprise meter)
