Mackinnon wasting his talent in Edmonton would be terrible. I hope he goes to Colorado or Florida. And mostly we win the lottery and nab him up.

Colorado is just as bad as Edmonton, both horribly managed franchises.

After watching the first two periods, I'm shocked that a team with 3 consecutive #1 picks can be this bad at hockey.

The only response to that 'How long can Edmonton be this bad for?' thread should be 'forever'.

I honestly think if you give them a good coach then they could be a playoff team. They have the young pieces, they just need it all to come together. Give them one of Jones or Mackinnon and they'll have a great young core to build around. Much better core to build around than the one in Edmonton that's for sure. But yeah, their GM isn't that great.

It's not just coaching...they've got a poorly built team without enough veteran leadership.

They need to start by drafting one of the stud D-men available, and by making smart decisions in the UFA market for some seasoned, reliable players.

Or they could keep making terrible decisions. That would be okay with me.

I just hope the Oilers don't take Lindholm.

Oilers give-a-frak level is non-existent. Oduya? What a garbage team.
Anyone asking about pride just needs to turn on TSN.

What an embarrassing joke of an organization.

Maybe, it's a similar situation to Edmonton though, Pierre LaCroix is still basically in control, similar to Lowe. So until he's gone I don't see them doing much.

Dubnyk probably just realized that standing on his head for most of the year wasn't accomplishing anything so he returned to being a mediocre tender.

At this point they won't....Because Bakrov will be an Oiler instead.

Andy Moog interview there pretty much defines the Oilers. Its all about the past and the future. The present doesn't exist.
