I agree but like Iginla, he's on the wrong side of 30. I don't know exactly what they have in their pipeline for youth, but it seems like a big piece to give up for someone is not a "bonafide" #1.
I guess it's a potential for potential deal.

Tampa trying to be the tallest NHL team. Shipped out Conacher and MAB. Bringing in another massive goalie in Bishop.

For people complaining Feaster didn't go get Bishop... who, exactly, is the Flames' 'Conacher' they would be willing to move for him? ... and to throw in a pick as well?
No thanks.

Is Bishop the cure for what ails Tampa or is he another Mike Smith in the making?

yup just blame the entire NHL lock out and everything else on Feaster because it's all his fault somehow.

I don't see anything particularly special about Bishop to be honest, not too bummed the Flames didn't get him, particularly for this steep price. Great deal for the Senators.

So now Tampa has two 6 foot 6 goalies... there has to be a joke in there somewhere.

Lol what an awful trade for Tampa. What is Yzerman doing.
Glad the Flames stayed away.

Bishop is just ok but not really an upgrade for Tampa but Conacher will develop into a player. Seems like Stevie has given up on the kid, if Ottawa gives him a chance i wouldn't be shocked if he breaks out next season.

Sens picked up Bishop for a 2nd. Now they have Conacher and a 4th. Not too shabby.

Ottawa asked Philly for Couturier in a Bishop deal. Answer was No. Tampa deal a good one anyway for Ottawa in my mind

wow ... if McPhee hadn't swooped in with that Forsberg trade, this one would have been my nominee for "worst trade of the day". My goodness. If that was the price for Bishop, I thank god that the Flames stayed away. But I have to say that I'm a huge fan of that Conacher kid, so no surprise that I find it that lopsided.
And to think that they even asked for Couturier ... unbelievable. Murray is a heck of a GM, this one's a steal for Ottawa.

so glad Feaster didn't pursue Bishop - probably would have cost us Gaudeau
let's give RamoBerra a chance and see what we've got - what's the risk, that we suck next year?
