Not sure if I can buy the ultimate and have two copies on my account?

Wouldn't that work the same as buying a Publisher Collection with games you already own inside the pack? IE. you'd be able to purchase it but wouldn't be able to gift the second copy of the game you own.

I'd expect that, but it's a slightly different scenario because it's the same game.

Yeah its like Borderlands, I owned the orignal game and then added the GOTY edition and it just overwrites the original game.
I have so many games to play now I'm going to set an order and just work through each one. Saints Row 3, Fallout 3, Fallout New Vegas, Borderlands GOTY, and a few more. I'm booked up until 2015.

I played it on the Xbox and thought it was good. For $10 it's a buy if you like shooters.

I found Rage too linear. I got bored rather quickly, I was expecting it to be more open like Fallout/Borderlands.

Has anyone tried the Steam version of Beyond Good & Evil on Windows 7? It says XP only and I wonder if I could get it to work. I've got everything I wanted and more from the sale, but I'd love to try BG&E. The Gog.com version will no doubt work but it's too expensive.

If anyone cares, Metro 2033 is an interesting game. The story is very cool and it's a little different from your standard shooter. Gameplay is a little floaty from what I remember and it has it's technical issues but it's a great looking game and like I said, the story is awesome. Can't go wrong for $5.

I've only played around an hour of it on steam, and it's worked fine. Running Windows 7 64 bit

I am looking at getting this game myself. According to users on the Steam forums it's kind of a mixed bag. Came across this article for how to make it run smooth. http://www.cnet.com.au/making-old-ga...-339338428.htm

I think I'll pick this one up. I've heard it's a great atmospheric type shooter. That's one of the things I liked about Bioshock. I'm also going to get Age of Empires 3 too. The game was on sale for $0.10 from Microsoft a while back:

I wish I bought Civilization 5 GOTY during the flash sale. Now I'll have to pay $24.99 instead of the $12.50 or whatever it was at.

Anyone played Dear Esther? I'm considering.... ah, hell, its $2.49. I just bought it, despite a complete lack of knowledge about gameplay mechanics whatsoever.

Metro has one of the coolest atmospheres I've ever experienced in a game. My favorite feature is that because their civilization is now living in the Moscow subway system they've had to manufacture their own ammunition which is substandard. You come across "military grade ammunition" in the campaign (old style ammo) that is way more effective at killing enemies. However, it can also be used as currency so have to choose how you use them.

I just bought it too. From what I understand it's not really a game per se, it's more of an interactive narrative. You walk around good looking areas, listening to a narrative with very atmospheric music. Seems like a cool idea.

So the sale ends in a week and I've already bought everything I wanted expect one.
Deus Ex: Human Revolution, Saints Row the Third, Thrine 1 & 2, Darksiders, Witcher, Witcher 2, Bioshock 2, Dead Space 2, Dear Esther. All for $61, which is about the price of a single brand new game. I am hoping to get Amnesia: Dark Descent if it goes to $5. I wanted to try one of the Fallout games or Borderlands, but I knew I wouldn't be able to squeeze them in.
The only game I am not sure about is the first Witcher. I didn't realize it was such an old game. But for $2.50 I suppose it's not a big deal if it doesn't get much play. Does anyone know if it's holds up or should I just skip to the second one?

I bought it from GoG when it was on sale and I'm currently playing it. I think it's a good game full of quests, dialogue, etc. I'm only on Chapter 1 though so the story hasn't really fleshed out. I'd buy it for $2.50 and give it a play.

Why would you hate checking that?! You have tons of gaming goodness ahead of you. Now you can go at your own pace and enjoy it all. I have a lot of games on my Steam account that I know I won't be able to play for a long while, but I don't care. I'll get to it eventually.

I really like the first Witcher, replayed some of it this spring. You should try it. Longer and fightier than the second. Not everyone is a fan but for me the timing-based fighting mechanic works well. Not perfect but really quite good. Some of the quests get slightly confusing and if you perform every little task it can feel a bit grindy at times but I'd say it's still an excellent, underrated game.
