Saw RGIII confirm he was interviewed by the following:

Minnesota, Miami, Washington, Cleveland, Buffalo, Jacksonville and Kansas City. In no way did he indicated that these are the only team's he talked to. He did say that he hasn't spoken with St Louis or Seattle.

Of cousre all of that means nothing.

If Denver somehow found a way to move up and get this kid I wouldn't be upset about it. He has everything you need to be a franchise QB, as does Luck of course.

Jeff Saturday the next to come out and speak about how much Peyton Manning has improved and how sure he is of him playing next season.

Chris Mortenson also came out with reports this week, from actual sources with names, and talked about how Peyton Manning has progressed a ton in the last two months and is very close to game shape.

Blows my mind the 24/7 sports media in the States and the embarrassing amount of unnamed sources and reports that have come out over this.

Is there any way the Redskins don't end up offering a stupid amount of picks to move up to 2 and take RGIII? This whole situation has "crazy Dan Snyder move" written all over it. The Rams will are going to be a great team in two years with all the picks they're going to get out of this.

To Snyder's credit, he's mostly stayed out of things since Shanahan and Allen took over. If we're going to see any "crazy Dan Snyder moves" this summer, it's going to be him throwing a bunch of money at Peyton and signing him for 10 years.

I think the Rams are very happy with RG3 at the combine. There will be no shortage of strong offers for that #2 pick after his performance.

Interesting that KC interviewed him too, and have apparently been in contact with Tom Condon who is Mannings agent. They also haven't exactly denied that they would be interested. Either way they seem like they're not going to have Ricky Stanzi as their backup this year.

Apparently the Eagles have interviewed RG3 as well. They have two second round picks this year and Asante Samuel to offer, but I doubt they'll hop into a bidding war for him, though I wouldn't be against it. Philly's financial commitment to Vick is pretty much up after this year so it would make sense for them to be looking for a replacement.

They don't have enough to offer. The Browns are going to offer the #4 plus #22 plus a second rounder next year. The Redskins might be able to match that package but really no one else can. The Rams aren't going to not have a top 10 first rounder this year so unless the Eagles can offer that, they aren't in the running.

Oh I agree. I don't think the Eagles are a serious contender for the pick, just thought it was an interesting scenario. It's also never been Reid's style to mortgage multiple draft picks, and I doubt Roseman wants to add a new franchise QB when it's questionable who his head coach will be in 2013.

Trumaine Johnson certainly didn't hurt his stock with his workout at the combine today. Could end up being the highest picked Montana Grizzly ever.

Yeah, the DNC should know better than to interfere with an American institution like NFL opening night.

The Drew Brees situation isn't going very well from everything I'm reading.

Well, they can franchise him for at least two years. We'll see what happens from now til then. I'm obviously still hoping for him to retire a Saint, but that isn't exactly the Saints style.

Why?

What difference does it make?

This will allow for much higher ratings than if they went head to head on that Thursday.

With winning the Heisman and the stats he put up at the combine, along with the instant success of Newton & Dalton last year, I can't imagine a scenario where RGIII isn't the automatic starter week 1.

I'd like to see Peyton in AZ, especially with Fitzgerald there. The guy put up over 1,400 yards with freakin Skelton throwing him the rock, can't even imagine what he'd do with Peyton there. You don't hear about him as much the past couple years since Warner retired, but I think he's pretty much equal to Megatron as the best WR in the league. They're 1 and 1A anyway, and you could argue either one as #1. Dude's a freak.

I can't believe all the hype and excitement over RG3. Haven't we seen this story before and hasn't it always worked out badly?

Thank god the Lions have Stafford and are nowhere near the 2nd pick this year.

I'm thinking you might change your mind when you see what package a team puts together to move up to that #2 spot. Every team in the league would kill to be in one of the top 2 spots even if they already have a young franchise QB on their roster.
