I think I'm gonna have a really bad back by the time I'm done because I've never used lockers in my life, and I'm not about to start now lol

All you need is a notepad, pen, deck of cards and lunch, if you want to be thrifty.

If you do your readings, especially before class, then you don't have to take many notes at all. Most of my classes there was at nomally 20-30% of the material on the exams that wasn't in the text.
Besides, you still need to go to check out what the hot girl in the front row is wearing though, don't you?

Yeah, if they played cards and were properly socialized they wouldn't start threads about liquor store pop and weeding dates...

This thread kind of rubs in my nose how out of place I feel at school, at 30-something.

I graduated just shy of 26.

Yeah, and I didn't mean for my post to sound like a cry for help or anything. It's just that I don't think I realize how out of touch I am with people a decade younger than me sometimes.

Just remember, you get older, but they stay the same age.
Oh wait, thats High School chicks. Disregard my earlier comment.
Seriously though, in University the age gap isnt such a big deal, you make some friends by being outgoing and willing to hit the bar any time, all the time...

The age difference really doesn't matter. My HR class was essentially all adults, I was the youngest (at 20) by a few years.
My Business class during the day was the same, in my group we had a 30+ year married guy, a 27 year old girl who was engaged, a 24 year old Russian guy and a girl my age.
No one really cares about the age, unless you're that creepy guy who looks at the 18-19 year old girls with the "eyes".

I am 35, and will be 36 when I graduate.
Don't feel out of place, just admire the scenery.

Does he wear the big fur hat?
When I was there I had a Russian dude in my group and he wore the big fur hat to school every day during the winter and made comments like 'you're all pansies!'
He was a good time. Also, he made funny faces at you in the bar, particularly when girls would order Vodka-Crans.
"You mix your Vodka with filthy juice of fruit. You ruin Vodka!"

No. He wanted to be an accountant really badly though which I found odd.

We all find it odd. Then you get the one guy who wants to be an actuary and everything is okay again because your group now has an outcast.
