The fact they haven't said what it is makes believe the Cancer metastasized from his pancreas. I hope i'm wrong and he can beat what he has. It's very cruel what Cancer does to people.

That might be the best thing for the Libs... although I still say they should disband and make the Cons and NDP fight for the middle.

So far neither party has made any move toward the middle. In fact they've really just become mor entrenched. It's early, but so far the middle remains open.

Layton looks like what he likely is....a dying man. It's incredibly sad.

Yeah, the Cons don't need to because they can get a majority without a majority. If there were no Libs to split votes with the NDP they'd have to.

But anyways, best wishes for Jack's health.

Hell of it is he's obviously been sick for a while, but fought through his best campaign ever, and was actually inspiring. Even if you don't agree with his politics, you have to admit that the man has some balls.

So good luck to you Jack, I hope you have to retire to live out the rest of your life in peace, but I could live with someone that cares being in Ottawa.

At least we have politicians like that. And at least they don't just show up when we're at the risk of a default.

The conservatives are close enough to the middle already. They need to move more to the right (fiscally anyway). Harper needs to do this slowly or the nanny state lovers will raise hell.

Just curious, (and we might even agree), but how would you like them to move to the right fiscally? Would it involve cutting the proposed tax credits?
